I have posed this a few times on here and keep getting stupid replys but owell iltry again rouhly 3 years ago i boughta DT50MX in blue to restore it came with no documents as it was sold as off road use only. Since i have had it i havnt been able to find anything about its like it doesnt exist. I applied for alog book but the DVLA said it has never ben registered (i doubt that) so i could either have it on a Q plat or i need to have evidence of its age for an age related one. The bike doesnt come up as british model when i check which makes me think its an import which would explain why i cant find anthing aout it i believe th bikeis early 80's this is bec…

I'm fortunate to be ordering an XJ6 Diversion F next week, fitted with a 39L top box. Given that I commute all year round I wanted to invest in something more than a throw over cover and was looking at Bike Barn or Bike Home(?); the fabric covered metal framed, drive in pull over ones. Unfortunately I can't tell from the pictures on the adverts which size I'd need for the cover to clear the top box at the back. Does anyone out there already have the same bike, with a top box (39L or more) and uses such a cover? If so please would you recommend the make and let me know what size to order? Alternativeloy has anybody seen any of these at retail (in London…

Just bought new 1300 Dragstar and had Yamaha panniers fitted. Told they were not water proof, then found out they LEEK big time. Slight down pour of rain as the bike was standing outside, went to cover her after the rain stopped and there was about 1/2" of water in the bottom of the panniers. What use are they? cost nearly £1,000 and they are useless. Seams they leek through the lock, which means it will rust eventually. Living in Devon (UK) it does rain a lot. Anyone else had this problem? Stevie

Pretty much what the title says. My chassis and engine number start with 2K4 and on the info plate next to the chassis number I have "Model DT175 Type 2K4" with a bit of German as well. I know the bike is an import from details on the V5 but does the 2K4 give any more info.

I went on a rideout with one of my old school mates, went from Newbury to Bournemouth (via loomies cafe for breakfast, where i spotted some gorgeous RDs, soooo shiny!) Then in bournemouth i won a furby at the arcade. Then we rode on to swanage, where i won a space monkey at the arcade Lots and lots of bikes out and about today, did you go anywhere nice/different?

Well after a few weeks of trouble free riding, today my clutch cable snapped. The worst thing was pushing my bike home 3 miles. By the time I got home I was shaking and soaked in sweat. When I phoned the garage up to order a new cable the guy couldn't believe it. I can fit it myself, I only fit a new one about 12 months ago.

Hi, I own a Yamaha DT 50/80 R. I bought the motorcycle with unlocked steering wheel, and no key from that lock. I was wandering, is it possible to make a key for this? What do I need to disassembly so I can remove the cylinder (without damage it) and take it to key maker? Thanks

Hi all, Newbie here and newbie to biking, just bought an 2002 xvs dragstar 125. This bike is in A1 condition, only 1230 miles on the clock and looks like its just come off the forecourt! Can't believe I left it till the age of 38 to experience the amazing feeling of riding, but there we go! The paperwork confirms one previous owner who bought the bike at the age of 70!!!! With the last 5 years amassing an amazing 86 miles and the bike has never seen rain! The questions I have are that it gets upto 50 mph pretty quick, however sadly there's not much more!!!! Was wondering if these bikes are restricted in anyway? Another question is that I struggle to get the bike into…

hello there peeps, I'm in a bit of a dilemma, i'm planning on doing my cbt soon and am stuck between 2 bikes. The yzf r125 and the dt 125. I've hear good things about the dt but its not as pretty as the yzf r125. i'm not too fussed about going off road to be honest so i'd tend to lean towards the sports bikes - no pun intended. so what's that got to do with 250's? well, i asked my nan for help to buy my bike, but she's just offered to give me a couple of grand for one. which is great as i'm not made of money, or well off enough to get it myself. with that in mind, i emailed the place where they do the cbt's and they said i could do a direct access course thing…
