yes I know I'm guilty of over doing the banter when it comes to the Grouch sometimes I just can't help myself, but it is only banter and i wouldn't do it if I didn't like the guy, a lot of it is just to get him to pull his finger out, anyway he's not been online for 10 days and I was wondering if anyone on here new him or had contact details to see he's alright ? I know he's a very popular member and I always enjoy reading his threads and the forums aren't the same without him come back Grouch yer dumb fuck see just can't help myself

Fuel exhaust have just made me a road legal end can to fit 2002 XT600e, to fit onto a laser Pro Doro system. The difference this has made to the to the performance of the bike is unbelievable pulls much cleaner appears to have more power and no longer feels like the engine is being strangled oh and it sounds like a 600 single should nice bark to it but not to loud. This is the second one off can Fuel have made for me all they need is the size of the inlet you require and they will make it to suit. Excellent service.

I'm a new rider, just got my license and I'm looking for a bike with more power than the bikes I road in my MSF class, but smaller than a 750. I came across a 1994 Yamaha Virago 535 that from the pictures, appears to be in excellent condition despite having 38,000 miles on it. I'd really like to know if anyone has this bike, how long you've had it, and your thoughts on how it runs and any maintenance issues you've run into. I'm a 5'3 female so I need a bike that sits low and doesn't have too wide of a tank (the Honda Shadow 750 gas tank digs into my inner thigh when trying to reach the brake pedal and gear shift). I also want to avoid getting too heavy of a bike right…

I'm wondering where are you allowed to park your bike in say a city centre? Can you just chain it anywhere where there are no double yellow lines? what about pedestrian areas? what about in the photo below could you chain it to the metal fence? is it ok on pavements? is it ok to chain it to a lamp post at the side of the road, but leave the bkie on the pavement side, so its not on the yellow lines? Do you have to pay for parking in car parks? where have you been fined for parking without realising? thanks in advance for any info!!

Can you believe it? After months of cold/wet weather - now it is just too close to be enjoyable riding. over the last couple of days the roads have been busy and one just gets too warm even with minimal gear as ever, the usual sitings of riders in t shirts, shorts and trainers - yes more comfy until somebody pulls out and they get dumped on the road despite being hot everything went well except for two pot holes, in the most unlikely places one on a motorway and the other on a dual carriageway, both quite bad, a nasty jarring bang.

Hi, Does anyone know if there would be a problem fitting a Yamaha XV535 1990 that has a model code of 2YL with a genuine exhaust that has the 2GV code? I would also need to reusing the rear pipe heat shield from the original 2YL model.

Hi guys, I've recently bought an XVS 950a Midnight Star (really loving it by the way!) I'm struggling to find some decent cheapish panniers and wondered if anyone had any recommendations? I don't need them massive really just looking to pop my leathers in there on days out, would prefer lockable ones due to this. Thanks for reading. Andy

Had some trouble tonight with the bike, came to start it after the weekend, battery was flat! Completely dead, not even dim lights on the dash. So bumped it, and took my charger to work, plugged in charger on but not charging. Thinking it's knackered, maybe from being left in the sun all weekend? Only thing I can think of. Any thoughts?

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Just got my Yamaha DT125 R 1999. I have a little problem with it, it runs fine at low revs but as soon as it gets to around 6000 revs it bogs out, also as soon as the throttle is opened fully it does exactly the same. It's not a restriction as the amount of revs it bogs at changes every time. Thought it was a dirty carb but its not that as had it all cleaned up and didn't stop the bogginess. Been told it could be my coil so I've brought a new coil. Any other ideas on what it could be?

This is the second time my dragstar has done this, cranks over fine but no spark, I checked everything, and I mean, "EVERYTHING"...... except the ignition switch, I assumed because it was cranking over then the switch had to be OK. I was talking to a guy who has the same bike the other night at a bike meet, he said that he had the same trouble, but if he turned the key back ever so slightly while cranking it over it would start. So next day I took the switch apart and sure enough the wiper had been dragging plastic on to the copper contact and plastic is not a good conductor, so, cleaned the tracks up with 2000 wet and dry and no more bad starting, and I guess thi…

Hi , I'm logging in to help a friend who has bought a bike here in Ireland and doesn't know the model name, he can't get insurance without it and apparently it was imported from the us in 1997. I don't have a pic but am going to look at it tomorrow. It says its a Yamaha custom on the tank and its a 750, he recons it's a four pot inline and arranged from left to right while sitting on the bike.ITs a single seat and built/sold org in 1988... Straight bars and a fat rear tyre with a tight fitting mudguard. I know this may be a home made special but he's hoping its a prod bike for insurance reasons... Anyone know what model it may be by my hazy description....
