Hi Guys Have bought a DT 125 MX, on checking numbers etc., have found it, it was originally a 175, so restored back to 175 now. It was an ex forestry commission bike so was never registered. On speaking to the DVLC they say need year confirmed of bike etc., so can register it and get a number plate, so then can get it on the road. It is a great condition bike so would be a waste to just use of road, Can anyone recommend someone who could look at the bike and confirm the year etc., So can get road biking 1 thanks andrea

  4. I went to see it today and for a 10 year old bike, it was in pretty good shape. However, I have a few questions about road legality. It comes with front/rear lights, a horn and an odometer. Which is in the list of requirements to make a bike road legal. 1) The bike does not come with a speedometer. It's not required to pass an MOT but you must have one to be road legal. I read that cheap push-bike speedometers are acceptable, any truth in this? Also, any recommendations for cheap speedometers? 2) It has one of those small flexible number plates fitted. I think it might be a 6 x 4, not too sure. Would this still be illegal on the road for an enduro? I saw a vid…

Hi All. I was wondering if anyone could help me: I am looking to purchase an SRX 400 (electric start version) for my wife to do her A2 training on. The reason for this is because it is so small and she can manage it relatively easily where the school bikes are all way too large for her. It is 398CC which is fine but it needs to be a minimum of 33BHP to qualify under the new A2 rules for her to do her test on it. Does anyone have any information on the official BHP / KW output of this bike please? I have googled it to death and cant find any solid information. Much appreciated.

hi all, just bought a yamaha 600s diversion N reg, so believe it's a 95 model. the bike is in superb condition and has only done a genuine 2800 miles from new. are there and geeks out there that can help me with an issue that has become very fustrating. the fuel overflow pipe that is split over the 4 carbs constantly leaks fuel over night. this does stop after a period of driving/ warmed up. i understand it's a vaccum system, so could it be a vacum pipe issue. the also appears to be a small square box type thing coming off the tank, have no idea what this is but that also leaks. the fuel system/ carbs had spent a month or so in a sonic bath so all clean …

Hey guys - check out my intro in the intros section. Picking up my new bike, an XVS 1300 Midnight Star, in a week's time. It's my first cruiser; previously I've only had standards (H100S, CX500) and sportsbikes (GPX750R and Thundercat). So my question is - how different will it be, riding a cruiser, particularly a relatively big one? Are there any hints and tips that I should know and bear in mind in order to make life easier for myself? Thanks guys!
