I,m trying to find some information on early 80's TT600's modified for the International Six Days Enduro(ISDE).I think they were prepared by Matsui but I'm not sure. Are there any experts out there, or does anyone know of scources of information that might help. Cheers Lloyd

Hi all, I own two Yamaha TT600's, one in rebuild the other running....well hmm sort of....anyway my issue is this, the bike starts easy, idles perfect but when going over 60km's per hour or when you start gunning it, the bike changes completely, she starts backfiring and gosh knows what else ....it really sounds like a timing issue when you rev itr high... Changed the following : CDI,coil, stator, carbs.....to no avail, i cannot understand this problem...building engines is a walk in the park but this bike is killing me lol Any comments would be highly appreciated.. Frank

Had a really good ride out today starting with a breakfast at a local bikers cafe and visiting a friends home. Got back home and gave the bike a good clean only to find a large nail in the front tyre! bummer! Curiosity got the better of me and I pulled it out....it had gone through! Still I suppose I was lucky it didn't happen on the road. Guess I will now have to take the wheel off and get it fixed.

hi guys got myself an xj6n im somewhat tarting up and looking to get the headlight cowling and belly pan(the standard factory fit black one) colour matched. my concern is the belly pan and whether the paint job will last.. its a pearl white paint so gonna cost me £100 to get done so don't want to spent that much money if if its just gonna get pitted and destroyed by debris after 6 months ,anybody had a belly pan sprayed before? did it stand up to the rigours of the elements?? ....cheers

  5. The Team now move directly to Phillip Island in Australia for a further test before the season kicks off under the floodlights of Qatar on the 23rd March. Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro completed the final day of testing with many positives to conclude, for the beginning of the MotoGP season at the end of March. Both Monster Yamaha Tech3 riders experimented with various aspects of their Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP bikes in order to find the most suitable set ups which would suit their riding styles. British rider Bradley Smith ended the test with an overall feeling of satisfaction regarding his performances over the past three days, as he prepare…

I'm probably overdue a new clutch cable as I've got a wobbly lever but for now it's relatively fine on the upshift etc. Really just going into first. Any info grately appreciated.I may even buy you a drink!

Got some more reflective decals in today (Dunlop ones for my front forks) and had him make some visor strips as well, which turned out to be a little too big for the visor...so I stuck that on the back of my helmet along with a yamaha and dunlop decal, which are reflective. Should help increase visibility at night and maybe prevent someone rear ending me! Plus I think they look sweet. material is Avery Black Reflective Vinyl

I keep scoring these ridiculous deals on kijiji! Guess it helps I work from home and check the site like 10 times a day.... lol Latest deal is this Joe Rocket suit, awesome shape, seller said it was worn 6 times, looks like it too, it's mint. Knee sliders still look brand new! I'll have to do something about that come riding season.... Anyway, best part, I paid $100 CAD for this.

I've been tearing my house apart for the last 4 hours looking for my driving licence counterpart but no luck yet, I need it by next Thursday so not much chance of getting a copy by then so I'll just have to think of where I hid last, worst idea ever to have your licence in two half's neither is of little use on its own anyway

Hey everybody, I have been gifted an xj900f to go along side my xj6n by my other half's dad however there is a slight snag! Now here is the awkward part for me, he has not ridden the bike for the best part of 9 years which does not phase me but he has no recollection of where the v5 is & if he ever declared it worn due to a health issue, the bike is in good condition and to me it would be nice to get it back to full health & I can learn a trick or two along the way. Does anybody know how I can get a log book without landing him in it for it not being sorn or without a massive cost? Thanks for any advice as I don't know where to start. Shaun

got new bike on 4/2/14 a Yamaha XT600E (just like saying that) how long does it take to receive the log book? its been 21 days now, on yahoo answers someone said it usually takes a couple of weeks & to leave it 6 week before chasing it up if you haven't heard from the DVLA but don't know if this is true got my mod2 tomorrow but even if I pass cannot tax my new bike (did I mention its a Yamaha XT600E?) because it says not to order one until you get log book or previous owner might get it by new I mean new to me, 2003 model

  16. So I had my first spill coming out of the Wallasey tunnel tonight. Bike decided to do a bit of acrobatics while I was braking, think I hit a spot of oil or something. I'd wondered whether I needed all the padded/kevlar gear with "just" a 125 YBR, but after landing on my shoulder and sliding along the floor at 30mph I now understand why it's important! A bit bruised, but I'm intact, so I guess the gear did its job. Bike wouldn't start at first, was just getting the engine light, but after about 10mins of catching my breath and cursing it fired up like nothing had happened. Handlebar is a bit bent, and the right indicator won't work, but otherwise it looks largely intac…

Just seen this on faceache and looks a great alternative to painting. The hydrographic process consists of transferring a pattern to an object using water displacement. The object being printed can now be dipped through the pattern. The water being displaced by the object causes the pattern to wrap around and adheres the print to the object no matter how complex the shape. Creating a continuous finish. http://www.kustomcoatingsuk.co.uk/
