I've been away for a week and have come back to people just posting random workshop questions in the Bar and New Members Sections. Given that I keep getting ribbed for being a bit strict on just removing them, I can't be ar5ed to clean them up anymore so my new plan is just to add people who do it to my ignore list forever.

Well peeps, we had a bit of a scene at Cosford today. walking down to work in a group of about 7-8 people this morning, some kitchen-porter (renowned tosser on camp) on a YBR125 comes though the gate about 30mph (15mph speed limit), cuts the corner at the junction doing the same speed before hitting a bit of gravel and skidding off out of site around the side of the hangar, about 10 seconds later we hear him shouting at the top of his lungs and thinking the rider was in pain we went around to help out, only to find the bike laying on its side with the guy storming around ripping his kit off and kicking his helmet across the road, then picking the bike up and cranking …

Hi all, How soon should you expect an exhaust to last before it starts rusting. I purchased my Fazer 8 new June last year and whilst have ridden it in various conditions (weather wise that is!), the stock exhaust has started to rust where the mounting bracket is welded. I realise I made the mistake of not weather protecting the bike for winter riding and some of the connections etc have started to corrode, but what's the score on acceptable corrosion/rusting on a virtually new bike that hasn't even reached its firt service yet? It's been washed down regularly and garaged. cheers David

  8. Not sure if you guys and gals watch Counting Cars on Sky? but this guy is a repeat person on the show and just look at what he creates! This Ford Model T (or A) has 2 V8's and 4 Super chargers working in sync. He has now finished building a Chopper with 4 Halrey twins. Most would thing that he has just spun two motors about to mount to the side, nope, as if he done that they would be running the wrong way so he's taken them apart a re-built them backwards so that they now run in reverse to also work in sync witht he two standard motors. I cant get his actual web page to work as its blocked here at work but i "think" you can get the full build thread on there.…

Just trying to figure out how long those beasts could live. Bought my 1980 DT175MX at 39,000 kilometers (24,000 miles). Seems a lot compared to similar people on the forum with the same bike. I spent some cash on it and now it's like a queen. So how many miles has your DT done? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey everyone, sorry to mods if this is in the wrong section, I am after some advice regarding security lights, there have been a few thefts of bikes around my area & I want to make sure that mine has a deterant if nothing else, I have it on paddoc stands with chains around the wheels & stands, and locks everywhere possible, but I feel a light would also set my mind at ease. Has anyone fitted any that they would recommend.? Thanks for any help Shaun

Hi all, I've posted on here before but not for a while so I may just look like a newbie to you all. Just wondering if anyone could possibly give me some help. I have a 1999 Yamaha DT, every time that it seems to get wet my bike seems to fuck up, the other week it happened and it would not tick over, it kept cutting out and not going past 7000 revs. I took out the spark plug which was so black, changed it and got it running again. It got wet again and the same thing happened, I played around with my air and fuel mixture and got it running fine, but then it always seems to change. At the moment it will tick over just over 1000 revs which is so low I know but if I turn my t…

Hello everybody! I have recently passed my test, got myself a brand new XJ-600 Diversion S (Half faired) and I admire the bike so much…. But the thing is i'm not happy with the appearance completely. I want to do some changes to the bike, wether its subtle or not I cannot decide! So far I have put white reflective tape around the tire rim and considering tail tidy, getting a new exhaust & decals. Not sure what I want if i'm totally honest but I thought i'd bring it to the forum and see if there are any ideas that you guys have tried & have come out looking great! Any ideas please post back!
