HI! I AM LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON UPGRADING MY YAMAHA TDM 850 (3VD). I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO FIT A 17” FRONT WHEEL FROM A THUNDERCAT, BUT WHICH SPACERS, SPEEDO DRIVE AND DISCS DO I USE? I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD THAT THE FRONT BRAKES CAN BE IMPROVED BY FITTING THE BLUE SPOT CALLIPERS FROM THE R1 OR R6, ARE THESE A STRAIGHT FIT? I WOULD BE INTARESTED TO HEAR OF ANY OTHER MODS I CAN MAKE USING PARTS FROM OTHER MODELS.

Hey all, I am new to the website, as well as the motorbike scene. Got myself an 2002 R6, I cam off it just before christmas, thankfully I was only, few bruises but nothing major - the bike however needed new headlight unit, front cowling, r/h mid fairing. Manage to get some very cheap & excellent condition eadlights & front cowling the the mid fairing I am stuggling with. Have been weighing up my option, which are as follows: Option 1 - Live with the tatty fairing I have on there at the minute, even tho the rest of the bike is A1 condition. Option 2 - Buy a brand new one from Yamaha, cost me £279.95 + VAT. That will mean it will be perfect again …

I have a 350 YPVS for over a year had it running once (the night i got it) but it was leaking water so got a set of gaskets last year to strip and rebuild along with a haynes manual, thought i would start today on checking the engine and frame number they match but start 1WT ****** the log book is 8/88 and says declared new at first reg the manual says it should start 31K ****** so dose any one know what i have log book matches eng/frame No Thanks

Afternoon all We went to the motorbike show at the NEC and noticed there were owners clubs there for Honda, Suzuki, Harley, etc, etc but none for us!! We were also quite disappointed at the Yamaha section so was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a Yamaha owners club there? As I've said on numerous posts(!!), I'm new to this biking world and love talking to bikers and would have really liked to have seen a stall for us. Hi all, New to the forum and wanted to ask experienced Yamaha riders their thoughts on Yamaha Dealersihps/Service Dept's and used bikes. Preferably if you own a Yamaha over 7 yrs old do you have to perform all service/maintenance yourself? Long story short (sort of)... I wanted to start learning how to ride motorcycles & wanted to be mature & responsible about it. I signed up, took & passed our state MSF course and received license. hi all just spent some hard earned money on a 1990 xtz 750 and all seemed well initially (great fun bike ) starts fine but after 10 mins or so of riding perfectly on the 3 occasions i have riddden it , closed throttle going into corner and serious misfire has started and continued all the way home . bike ticks over ok but blipping throttle on and off eventually just coughs and dies . any advice will be greatly appreciated filters are new , have plugs to fit tomorrow. regards martin

Hi there just got myself my first bike a ybr 125, pick it up on monday its a 2006 having read a lot online about the bike since i bought it seems the choke is a pain in the neck, and i believe the 07 came with a fuel injection system. is the choke really that bad, should i have went a bit more and got an 07. james

Hi im the new guy, Im 51 5 kids 3 grandkids bunch of bikin projects, been riding since 69. heres some pics, yellow bike was finished last year, I did all but paint and a couple machined parts. frame is another 76 xs 650 which im doing in a japanese brat style, got a lot of projects most are yamys. I try to fund my fun by finding ol bikes and selling off parts. Really like the euro streetfighters too.

Hello all, i have a TTR 230 and i cannot decide what number to put on the number panels. Please help me i just cant decide.

Just bought a 2nd hand micron race can & linkpipe for my 96 yzf750 off ebay. After fitting will i need to set up/tune the engine to the new exhaust? Will it affect the exup valve, the way it works & the way the bike runs etc? Any advice will be appreciated. p.s. i'll be adding pics of my bike this weekend
