morning... I need some advice on the best way to lower my r6. The above kit looks pretty good... Would you advise going to yamaha or would another bike company be able to fit.. (truimph are local to me and have said they can fit) - The kit advised by yamaha is 50 quid more.. + an extra 60 quid labour. Please advise. Thanks.

(6 year history) Had a GSXR 600 K1, good fun but it felt like ever other bike on the road was a GSXR 600, no originality at all! Then got a Daytona (T595), again great fun but unreliable and a heavy old lump! Then had a rush of blood to the head and bought a XR400R (first ever off roader) complete insane bike but not for me. I've just bought an immaculate, completely original 2002 R6 with only 3k on the clock and am just getting used to it, it seems a great bike, a bit twitchy and high revs but what do you expect! Any tips, advice (polite comments only guys) I need to know for riding or maintaining it? Barry

I thought it only polite to say 'hi' to everyone as I've just joined- no point in lurking at the back looking shifty is there? I don't have a bike (at the minute), although I have had a few small sports bikes in the past- FZR400RR, SZR660s, TZR250s, that kind of thing. My bf has a Buell Firebolt 12 which is very lovely. We're looking to build me a little hardtail bobber this year around an SR250, money permitting (as ever...) Anyway, that's me for now Kayla

In August of this year, myself and a group of work mates arranged and obviously participated in a sponsored motorcycle ride from John o'Groats to Lands End, using no motorways ... (some of you may remember me posting details of it up before hand) Well MCN have finally decided it was worthy of a mention and it's in this weeks issue (6th Feb 08). We get a 2 page write up (page 46/47). Not the best bit of editting on the full report they were provided with but at least we made it in! We raised £12,595 between the 9 of us for Cancer Research UK !

Hi folks, ive just gone from a 2002 Ducati 996S to an Origional 98 R1 and its amazing. The 996S looked the nuts, sounded like 2 skeletons w@nking off in a biscuit tin and was as light as a scousers fingers, but once you pulled away from the curb is was an absolute bag of bolts, stalling all the time in cold weather and rain. I shouldve gone with my instincts and stayed with Jap bikes but I fancied a change and had a few quid in my pocket. My Ducati had recently been serviced prior to buying it (DUCATI MANCHESTER) (SPIT!!), £450 for a service, thats in pounds not roubles or Yen!!! After I got shot of it I looked around for somthing different, ive mostly had G…

Hi there I am new to this forum and bikes in general. I bought a Yamaha YBR 125 last year which worked fine when I first got it. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances towards the end of last year I had to leave the bike locked up in the garage for about six months. I have kept the battery charged and the bike in good condition but when I tried to start it up to get out on the road again it just won't start. Either with the starter button or kick start.. Any idea's or pointers would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

Hi all, firstly my name is Mark and this is my first post as i am new on here.... I am in the process of giving my 93 YZF a bit of TLC and i have ripped all the old decals off the fairing as they wer getting shabby, so will be spraying it a diff colour, was wondering if a light sand down would spoil the end results, not doind anything fancy just a str8 spray off (Black), hope you could give me a few tips as well if any members read this in Brighton area as i wish to change the colour of my wheels, wot is the best way to do this when DIYing it or some where to take them????..........Thanks to all that reply
