Hi, New to the forum here. I just bought a 2001 Yamaha YZF 600R. I noticed when I am on the freeway or hitting about 50-60, the temp stays cool below 70. (I would assume this is because the high speeds cool the engine additionally.) However after running it for a bit, if I am cruising through city traffic, the temp gauge hits 100. There is an extra space between that and the red-line - but how hot is hot? Is this normal? My last bike didn't have the same temp gauge - it was a Honda. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Adam

Hi all New to the forum, but an old biker !! If there are any other super tenere riders out there with a solution to the cr*p head lamps please, please, please tell me. I have a 1991 super tenere with the old 35w twin lamps, I can't seem to get a upgrade on the lamps, i.e halogen. Is there a solution for this, can you mod any other head lamps to fit ? Would be grateful to hear from anyone who has achieved a decent light sorce rather than relying on the candle power !! Many thanks Tony

Mujibar was trying to get a job in India . The Personnel Manager said, 'Mujibar, you have passed all the tests, except one. Unless you pass it , you cannot qualify for this job.' Mujibar said, 'I am ready.' The manager said, 'Make a sentence using the words Yellow, Pink and Green.' Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said, 'Mister manager, I am ready' The manager said, 'Go ahead.' Mujibar said, 'The telephone goes green, green,..........green,green, and I pink it up, and say, 'Yellow', this is Mujibar.' Mujibar now works at a call center. No doubt you have spoken to him. I know I have.

I have a 2002 xvs 125 dragstar which i am having trouble 'finding' neutral. I can select every other gear easily, but when i come to a standstill i cannot find neutral easily. Also even when the clutch lever is pulled right in the bike tends to 'jump' forward when putting it into gear. I have checked all the adjustments on the clutch but everything seem ok. any ideas as the toe of my boot is wearing out due to the constant gear lever movement up and down trying to get it out of gear

Not got too much planned for it, just a few carbon goodies. Recently sold my car which was a mag featured show car corsa but i think i have been shown the light with bikes. I'll get some decent pics once it arrives but i'll post up the ones i have now. Cheers, Steve

I have seen a few of these before but never all together at the same time Comprehending Engineers - Take One Two engineering students were walking across campus when one said, "Where did you get such a great bike?" The second engineer replied "Well, I was walking along yesterday minding my own business when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike. She threw the bike to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want." The second engineer nodded approvingly, "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fit." Hey all im trav a new member just thought id give out some info on a problem i had with my trx850 and from what i hear is common with most yamahas... if anyone has ever experiecned there bike back fireing and running on 1 cylindar (if a twin) or 2 cylindars (if a 4) then your problem is there is water in your sparkplug inlets... just dislodge them and spray some wd40 on them... also if you can try to put a clean rag down the inlets to soak up the water... it will do the trick... ps sorry bout my shabby spelling lol

I am sure this has been posted here before, but to the newbies who have never read it before please post this on to another forum especially car ones if you subscribe to them as well, maybe if it kicks one supid cager into looking in the mirror before they change lane it will be worth it anyhow here it is it will bring a lump to your throat I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But you didn't see me driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window. I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But you didn't see me when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless. I saw you stare at my …

Hi, I've got a xj600s divvy and I wanted to try and get some of the blemishes and the odd white mark off the fairing. What would be a good thing to use to do this? I was thinking t-cut would do the trick but I'm unsure because its fairing and not metal so to spk. Any suggestions?
