Im new in here so hello from sunny Denmark. I am English but have lived here for 4 years. I have recently bought a 2006 FZ6 which I think is great. My last bike was a Intruder VS800 which was great, I did 16000km on it this year. The FZ6 is a drastic change to the Intruder but after 1000km I know I will love it. I know everything about Intruders and nothing about FZ6s so I hope you can all help. Here is a short slideshow of our biking year. Click on the smiling box top right to reduce the toolbar and when the white image loading page opens the music starts about 20 seconds later the slides will start. Most of the photos are from Denmark and Sweden. …

Hi All Well after 3 weeks of just looking at my XJ600, I passed my DAS today and was able to take it for a ride, did 125 miles this afternoon with a BIG grin on my face, will still have the grin on the way to work tomorrow, no more thrashing the life out of the XV125 and being overtaken by lorries up the A2, now that's hairy! Hello, just joined --I wanted to know what the heck i'm doing wrong with the above trimoto. I rode the bike, it worked but noticed a "rattle" inside the motor, --it was the clutch-side main bearing. I took the engine apart, replaced both bearings and seals. put it back together and it won't start. i replaced the stator, the CDI, the plug, and it still won't run. Now i'm wondering if i got the piston in backwards?? the slots in the piston are turned toward the carburator side, the piston has an arrow on top and i pointed that toward the front tire. I spin the engine with a large drill and still it pops shoots a little fire out of the exhaust but still will not start---so,-…

I have a 1981 550 maxim. It has been sitting for some time. I'm pretty confident that the carbs, from sitting, have gotten a little gummed up. I took them apart, cleaned them and have been able to get it started. But it won't idle. You have to nurse the throttle and it very erratic. some times you can keep it going for ten minutes. Sometimes it will quit as soon as the ether wears out. It needs about 3/4 throttle to stay running and at times it will rev up on it's own. Fuel seems to flow freely. I think I have a vacumn problem., but any, ANY, advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Marc Smith Cleveland ,Ohio

Okay..the cold front moved through this week and temps went from 80F to 58F in the day and down to 39F tonight....I plan on riding as long as I can...or at least till Im probably snowed in. I got a balaclava today. And have been wearing leather riding gloves, Plus my gortex thinsulated coat. The only problem Ive had the past few nights has been my neck and chin getting the chill between my helmet and jacket..so the balaclava should take care of that...my main wonder is. When it gets down to 30F or lower...what do you guys wear to keep warm...Im thinking of long johns next.

Hi All, Been a member here for a while and own an old RD, an old DT and an old XS, been away for a while, busy with work which, as it happens involves looking after the Team Roberts website. Anyway, all you 'forty somethings' who remember King Kenny, we have just launched on the teams website, the opportunity for YOU to have your name on the Roberts bike at the last race of the season (Valencia, 4th Nov). Yes i know the bike runs a HONDA engine currently, but King Kenny will always be a Yamaha Hero Just go to www.teamkr.com and follow the link on the homepage. This is not a scam and it will cost you nothing !! Come on, support Team Roberts, tell yo…

Hi all... After a few weeks without a bike I popped down to my local dealer to have a look..sat on a FZ6n and it felt perfect for me and my dodgy back... Anyways after a bit of negotiation I managed to get a new s2 spec with R&G bungs and official tank pad for £4250 on the road inc 12months tax - it was pre reg'd but I thought it was a good deal!? Anyways, picking it up in a few days but have just realised it does not have a hugger as standard ( I think) if it does not is it worth having one? Cheers all
