I'm running a 2007 FZ6 Fazer S2 as a commuter weapon. Parking at work the bike is in shade until about 2PM. As the sun comes on the tank I'm getting petrol fumes venting from the tank breather hose along with the odd drip of fuel. Should I be worried or is this just a function of the fuel warming in the tank and evaporating? My other concern is tyre wear - the bike is 7 months old and still wearing the original BT020s front and rear which have now done 2000 miles. The rear tyre has about 2mm of useable tread to the wear bars. My daily run is 27 miles each way, 16 on B roads and 11 down the M4 to Bristol. Was running EBC HH pads in standard R1 5VY calipers gripping standard discs, which were a slight improvement over the OE pads. THEN a Friend got me to try some TRW LUCAS (German spec) front pads, and once bedded, THEY REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! Any of you out there want some grippy stuff, then I suggest you try these, you will be ammased at how good they are. (not tried the back ones, Coz standard pads will lock it anyway) They retail for about £23 a caliper, so not too expensive either. (not tried the back ones, Coz standard pads will lock it anyway)

Hello Everyone, Just thought I'd add this topic as a helper for anyone wishing to install their own autocom system (my local dealership wanted to charge me £90 to install mine) I've installed and set my system up on my 2006 FZ6 Fazer and am more than willing to help others set theirs up as well. Hi there ewerybody! My name is Sebastijan i come from Slovenia (Europe ) and i am a new owner of Yamaha TDM 850 (1999). I ride bikes for Years (i am 35 years old). On my first day with TDM i managed to get to the edge (on the tires).....so i guess it realy is "Funduro" as some people describe this bike. Having years of experience wit MX bikes help me a lot cause driving a TDM requires a combination of riding styles ( MX and Street ). I've waaay overfill the oil on my 2002 R6, will this effect it or shall i just ride it till it burns off?

Hi all, as stated I am new to this site and new to owning a Yamaha, had an RD400 way back when and it was great. OK, I have just bought an FZ1 N, can anyone please tell me if there are any simple mods that can be made to run better and also any trick bits to buy, have just got an evotech tail tidy but am looking for anything else that can enhance the bike, screen, seat cowl, belly pan, mirrors, seat cowl etc.... Not sure what tank will fit a 93 YZF, have tried to get hold of one without a dent in it so now thinking of any other tanks i could use, can you suggest one that will work from another bike plz.........??

Hi people! On a whim I bought an FZ400RL from a friend a few(!) years back. At the time it was a bit silly coz I didn't even have my full bike licence. Anyhoo, got that in 2002, but due to life's unexpected twists and turns it never got on the road. Though out of boredom I did strip it down, spray and rebuild it, replacing a fork as necessary in the meantime. Now I've managed to dig it out of it's corner in the garage and spend some time on it. It's fully ready for it's MOT and looking less shabby than it did. But it keeps cutting out. Starts - no problem, sounds good. Ticks over quite happily. Goes out riding nicely. Hi, I have DT125 (03) with a leaking rear shock. I have purchased a replacment part but was wondering easy it is to fit. It apprears to me that its just 2 bolts, one each end, Is it really that easy. Any advice would be much appreciated, even if its take it to a garage! Thanks, Andy

I saw a picture of a guy who had the same bike as me. 08 XVS1100 Custom. He had this cool bronze or brass looking skull on the breather, kinda plaque looking thing. On the other side, there was another skull. I wrote and asked where he got them, no answer. I've been on-line, no luck. Anyone with an idea?? Where is a good site/company for yammer accessories. BTW. I put the Baron Oil filter relocator kit on and the bike runs sooooo much cooler now. I live in West Texas and head does make an impact. MM
