Hi, I have a 2003 R1 with a standard can on it, and now I’m looking into getting a nice can fitted. I’m looking for something that looks nice and sounds nice too. The short cans are really what I would love to have, but I’m not sure if they can be fitted to the bike. Which can would you recommend? I have something like this in mind…

Hi Guys, Ok, the bike's nearly ready to go back and get a proper MOT. I've picked up the forks with the new seals and fitted them today and rectified everything on the list bar 2 things.... one is just a bolt, so no worry there. My quandry is the chain...... the guy mentioned that it was too loose and gaps were showing around the rear sprocket. I've had the chain off and lubed it up, put it back on and tensioned it up...... but there are still gaps around the sprocket, though only at the bottom half. How do I remedy this, or what does it mean? Is it a stretched chain? Any help will be greatly appreciated...... Cheers!!! (",)

I've just managed to drop one of the air filter screws on the right hand side of the air filter. It's disappeared into a gap and not come out the bottom of my R1, despite removing all the panelling. PLEASE someone else tell me they've done this too! I've no idea where it's gone, would appreciate anyone suggestions as to how to find it / get it out. Rob

Hi there, My second thread and hopefully quite easy for someone: - how easy is it to change an air filter? I have a 2001 R1 and it looks easy on internet but I have ZERO experience on bikes bar doing an oil change. How long should it take and what the opportunity for me to make a balls up of it? - what are the advantages of specialist air filters vs. standard Yamaha. This may be a really stupid question but I don't know the answer - stock one looks to be around £18 new whereas K&N, which are advertised everywhere, are about £42. Just trying to work out what the benefits are and whether its worth the extra cash. - any recommendations for where I can buy air…

Ive heard from friends that and dealers that there is a new law coming in at th end of september this year (2008) and was wondering if its true and what does the new law change? Basically im looking to do my a2 test early next year so i will have a full restricted licance and iam possibly considering buying the new 2008 ninja as it has 33 bhp and that is all you can have with that licence, but ive heard and read that the age limit is going up to 19..... is this true? I'm taking my test early next month but won't be buying my bike until next year.. but I'm having trouble deciding what to get. My mind was firmly set of getting the R125 but some of my friends have said to get something bigger and restrict it and others have said stick with a small bike. I'll probably be doing a bit of traveling on it..work is 65 miles from where I live and is mostly duel carriageway and a bit of back roads. Being only 5'4" I need to find something I will be able to reach the floor on!!! I love the look of the R125 but the engine sound is a little disappointing from what I've heard so far.. And with the Aprilias..well I haven't ever really been a f…
