Hi all I am looking for info on a chain to shaft drive box,I believe there was a Yamaha that had this drive unit fitted but I cannot for the life of me remember what model it is/was. So the question is did Yamaha ever have a bike that had a chain drive motor and a shaft drive wheel,I am looking for the conversion unit and would like to know what to look for and are they as rare as hens teeth or made from unobtanium?? Ive heard from friends that and dealers that there is a new law coming in at th end of september this year (2008) and was wondering if its true and what does the new law change? Basically im looking to do my a2 test early next year so i will have a full restricted licance and iam possibly considering buying the new 2008 ninja as it has 33 bhp and that is all you can have with that licence, but ive heard and read that the age limit is going up to 19..... is this true? Thanks.....

I'm taking my test early next month but won't be buying my bike until next year.. but I'm having trouble deciding what to get. My mind was firmly set of getting the R125 but some of my friends have said to get something bigger and restrict it and others have said stick with a small bike. I'll probably be doing a bit of traveling on it..work is 65 miles from where I live and is mostly duel carriageway and a bit of back roads. Being only 5'4" I need to find something I will be able to reach the floor on!!! I love the look of the R125 but the engine sound is a little disappointing from what I've heard so far.. And with the Aprilias..well I haven't ever really been a f…

I recently bought a 1965 yamaha ,it has a chrome gas tank the fenders are grey it is bone stock, its for on the road or off, the #s on the frame match all the other #s which read on the case G1-803786 and on the the front forks the #s are 803786 The speedo milage reads 3161.9 the bike had 1 owner who bought it brand new in 65 and she registerd the bike and road it untill 1983, Im not sure what it is either a rotory jet 80 or a YG-1, it looks more like the YG-1 . could anyone tell me what it is i have???I am getting the tank cleaned out and I need a front tire ,and a battery, can' wait to ride this little bike, thanks

Hi, Has any one checked out this guy yet? His round the world attempt on his R1 looks pretty intense. Just started riding and although not good enough to tackle something like this would love a stab at something on a smaller scale so if anyone has any suggestion feel free to share the knowledge. http://parallelworld.hein-gericke.com
