Hi, Has any one checked out this guy yet? His round the world attempt on his R1 looks pretty intense. Just started riding and although not good enough to tackle something like this would love a stab at something on a smaller scale so if anyone has any suggestion feel free to share the knowledge. http://parallelworld.hein-gericke.com

Hi guys! We're two girls preparing our 1986 XT600s for a trip from London to Cape Town. We had a tiny little accident this weekend. We need all the moral support we can get. WARNING: NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS - IF YOU LOVE BIKES, YOU WILL CRY. ALSO, SORRY FOR THE FOUL LANGUAGE, IT WAS DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES.

Hi Guys & Girls, Just introducing myself to the forum, found this site while surfing the net. Just purchased my first big bike and to be honest I am over the moon with it. I was originally going to buy a Suzuki Bandit 650 but got fed up of waiting for the bike to arrive in the shop. Whist out driving I passed a Yamaha dealer decided to go back and check it out, walked in the shop there it was standing right in front of me. What a beast a FZ6 fazer in black Straight up to the dealer traded in my Honda Varadero the rest is history. Thanks for reading this and if any one can give me a bit of advice it would be appreciated. Cheers Phil.

Hey, so I'm consulting with the Yamaha experts here, right? I've got NO experience in evaluating what a street bike is worth, or even knowing what it is that I've got. We do own 3 pretty cool matching Yamaha dirt bikes, so I feel I've got a right to be in this forum- I've just never had a need to post anything. So here's my dilema- I won this auction for an abandoned storage unit and in it (among many many other things) were two Yamaha motorcycles. One was a dirtbike with no engine, the other was this BEAUTIFUL street bike that looks 98% restored with not a speck of rust on it. We have no place to store it inside- so I'm thinking to either finish it off and sell it o…

Hi all, My first post! I'm currently riding a 2006 Fazer 600, thinking of moving to a 2000 R1 (need it to be old to afford the insurance!). I was just wondering... does anyone have any buyer tips for these bikes (i.e. what to watch out for) or any advice? Are there any known faults/watchouts with this model? Are more recent models THAT much better?? The bike in question has 16k miles on the clock. Many thanks for any help!

Hi, I have been looking into getting a new bike since my 1st once got stolen (Honda CG 125) and while reviewing and evaluating the YBR125 I came accross a russian site (which I am unable to read) which has pictures of a Sporter looking YBR125. does anyone know if this model is avalible in the UK yet? Link to Russian site Also, could somebody tell me which is better, a Honda Cg125 or the Ybr125? the only diffrences between them both as far as i can tell, is the CG has a slightly bigger engine and the YBR has nice wheels. the things i would like to know is which one is faster and more reliable?

I have a yamaha DTR 125 2004 electric start. The down pipe has blown and the rear silencer fairs not much better, my local yamaha dealer quoted me a silly price of £55o to replace it. well thats just not going to happen. A "big one" costs a relatively cheap 130 quid for a full exhaust system I just can't seem to find out whether it is compatible with the 2004 model DTR which I have, most of the dealers I have spoken to have compatibility charts which go up until 2003 models, can anybody help me with this issue please, me pistons can't take the strain anymore
