SAT 15th NOV 2008 - 3PM TIL VERY LATE - THE GOLDEN FLEECE, LOUTH Think you can still save it? Celebrate the glory years, and remind us all how fast you were... A note from the TZR website: Celebrating a time when racing an LC on a tiny budget was a first step to international stardom for riders of the caliber of Niall MacKenzie and others, the Marlboro Clubmans championship oppitomised all that was great about motorcycle racing in the 1980's. A few die hards who cut their racing teeth in quarter-litre production racing are still hard at it - take a look at Mike Edwards for example - having had a career that took him from 250 proddy racing at 3-Sist…

Returning to M/Cycling after a 28 year lay off, right good chance of killing myself apparently. Had a good go in my younger days mind! Problem is, me head's grown gianormous! Bought an Xl Takich & soon after bought an XXL, but after a couple of hours it kills the top of my ears. Apparently these cheaper helmets are all built around the same shell, but the padding thickness varies. Shoei etc have different shell sizes but they're expensive. Now in '76, I bought 2 new Shoei's and a brand new Honda CD175. They weren't expensive, so I'm shocked to see that I might have to pay as much for a new Shoei lid as I paid for my new Honda in '76! (£299 from M/Cycle City) …

Hi there - just joined the site after getting my first bike 5 months ago - loving it! Have spent hours on the site already and learnt loads - thanks!! Can anyone help me with what will probably sound like a stupid question. I've just bought the Evotech tail tidy online and from the instructions it seemed simple to fit - so at the weekend set to by removing the seat cowl - only to find a whole host of plastic and seemingly no way to get to the bolts so i could unscrew the factory fitted set . Any tips on what to do next? I removed as much as i could to see if the black plastic bit could be lifted but it seems to go under the seat and contain various bits of ba…

Hi to everyone, has anybody out there had any experience with fitting hid kits.I currently have a s2 fazer on a 57 plate and as a few have mentioned i find the dipped/daylight lamp not that brill.I didn't want to wire up the other side as a few have done,so i've tried different all singing bulbs but all are pretty much the same.I like the idea of the hid retro fit kits, So question is; are they any good. And as a newbie to all this modern kit do they pose any probs to the bike electrics. Many thanks for any help.

I know this isn't bike related, but I reckon I can't be the only one that uses a wireless network at work or home and should take notice of this. Or not. It's your choice. Basically, this link: http://www.networkworld.com/news/2008/1106...tory=ts_wpahack is a news story relating the first serious hack of a wireless network with WPA encrytion enabled. Ok now the bike has been successfully run in now and had its first service. it now runs lovely and smooth. What a dream of a motorcycle to ride. My only `niggle` is the gears. The bike dosent seem to need all of them, going from 1st to 2nd its like just pulling in the clutch in first gear and letting it out in 1st gear, no difference.....lol. Anyway i have been told that thats the way the fz2 60 is anyway. It still sounds `cluncky` in the gears but again been tolsd thats what the bike does. So now setting my sights on taking it into Europe on a `jaunt`......lol, (got to make most of the free european breakdown that came with it)...lol, so anyone out there done this t…

Well, under threat of a hiding from Goff (I interpreted ) I'm introducing myself rather late as I've been a member for a wee while. As my username suggests, I'm from Northern Ireland but I live in Birmingham. I did my CBT on 12th August and picked up my YBR125 5 days later. Nice little bike, but I'm having so much trouble with the gears (ie getting into 2nd ). Anyway I'm dealing with that atm and trying hard to carry on enjoying learning to ride. I'm a fat lass called Chris (Chrisi or Christine to my family) married to Chris (honestly) and we've two dogs. Hubby has a baby Varadero atm which I'm hoping to inherit when he does his DAS course as I can't do mi…

Hi All, Is there any way of increasing the sound level or getting a more noticeable note out of a standard FAZER 1000 exhaust can (mine's an '05). Has anyone done it? The standard can seems to perform ok but is dangerously quiet startling every car driver you pass as they never seem know you've been behind them for the last mile or two. It seems a shame to have to replace the std can with an aftermarket item in the interests of rider safety, I'm not looking for more power, its got plenty and the bike's perfect as far as I'm concerned. I just want to advertise I'm there as I'm getting fed up with dopey drivers not looking in their mirrors. Best regards to all.

I passed my car test with flying colours, but, that was 6 years ago... Has anyone else done the hazard perception section on here? What is it like? I got a DVD with Suzi Perry in it, but, not looked at it yet... Wish me luck...
