anyone have one of these bikes? im going to be getting one soon but iv been told that they are really hard to get on with as a road bike. anyone had experiances on road with them? what are they like compared to older ones like mine? Feedback Appreciated.... Thanks

Hi everybody, it seems that my xj600 is getting a little old in the tooth, even though she still has a heart of gold (pre diversion), i would like to know if anybody has pictures or advice about the best way to scrap the face fearing and get rid of the old square light and replace it with a round one. Well as the title says i am a new boy here first time i have had a Yamaha. I have been messing about with bikes since i was 16 at the age of 49 decided to get a full license have had that since Feb this year. Brought my self a gt 750 Kawasaki to start with but parked it under a car in may now have a fzs 600 fazer in black a very sweet little bike.

i will be doing my CBT on the 2nd of november and i was wondering once i have the cbt i can obviously ride a 125cc motorbike.... but can i drive on the motorway on a 125cc with L plates??? also i have a full uk car license ...... so i think i should be able to ride on motorway but my friend says i might not be able to go on the motorway with just the cbt and L plates..... so im confused.... also i want to take the A2 exam with restricst me from riding a 125cc for 2 years then i can ride anything...... but are there any special requirements for this?????? to do the A2 exam???? i am 19 years old and i have a full car license... LOL when i book on the DSA web…

Is there any way of getting my XJ550 fully faired? The larger XJs have a fuller fairing, so can I interchange them? I know I can get the replacements from Google shopping, but will they fit?! Thanks

Hi there I am trying to fit a belly pan of an ABS FZ1 to an non ABS FZ1 having problems trying to find where the brackets bolt on to can anyone help thanks.

ive just bought a 08 yamaha ybr125, ive had it for a week and only done 300 miles on it? however when im stopping and going down the gears it seems to be missing them? ie when i pulled up outside my house and went from 3rd to 1st then neutral it just wouldnt go in to it, and went straight to 4th then wouldnt go back down......some help would be very greatful as this is my first bike and im not to sure

Hi guys and gals...(soooo `dj`ish aint it), new proud Yammy FZ6 owner here, one week old already. Right a few questions i hope all you other proud owners out there can help with. Running in the engine? How many miles? Revs? Speed etc? Any/all advice and tips welcome. Is it common for a loud `cluncking` into first and second gears? Is it normal for the engine to be so revie, even though im in top gear it always feels as though there should be one more final gear, or is this also just part of the running in period? Taken it up to 55 the most at the moment. Anyway, look forward to all your tips on the bikes.

Was just wondering about safe filtering?? Getting ok on the wee thing and i think its about time to cut through the traffic. When to do it and at what opportunities, also could anyone clear up the laws of filtering? Its what i got the bike for in the first place!! Cheers again, Kev.

hi guys, no this may sound a silly question, but what do u all clean ya bikes with! is it just a soapy water then polish etc..just wondered coz i have only had the bike a short while and want to get it sparlkin for the summer, but didnt just wanna fetch the hosepipe to it!!

Hi just bought Fazer 1000 (2006) new shape and I get a loud vibration from around the clock area at 4000rpm No noise before 4000 or after 4500 - it's the same in every gear It seems to be either the clock or the piece of plastic above it but I don't know how it secures to the bike or if something needs tightening Please can someone help as I've only had it a couple of days and it's driving me mad Also anybody know where to get a bigger screen and what's the best one to buy THANKS A LOT JJ

Hi again guys as some of you know I passed my cbt 3 weeks ago and bought myself a 1993 yamaha sr 125 and I tend to have big problems pulling out of junctions esspecialy turning right as im consetrating on life savers and giving gas and letting the clutch go slowly while pressing the rear brake to control the speed to cross over the road like i was taught on my cbt... But my problem is I either give it too much power or more often not enough and look like a child thats had it stableisers taken off for the first time lol...... I am a born again, bought a 2002 FZS 600 done 34000 great fun for the summer but ready for an fz1 now. Anyway I have been using a silicone based dry lube and was pleased with it because no flick, however I now seem to have developed a tight spot on the chain. I do not know what miles the chain has done, but there is bags of adjustment left and the sprockets seem in good shape, my first thought was to replace. Do you think it is worth first trying to clean well, and then try running it with wet lube? Am I risking doing any further damage to bearings? And secondly what are your feelings on silicone based dry lubes as opposed to wet lubes? As ever you opinions would be ap…
