hey i am approaching my 17th birthday and im unsure of what bike i want next, as i am going to take my test i will be restricted to a 33bhp licence for two years. i was wondering weather a restricted 33bhp yamaha R6 would be a better option than a 125 or a 250 for example an 08 kawasaki ninja. i am farmiliar with the method of restricting carb bikes but not fuel injected ones and i understand there is drawbacks in performance with one of these types. any help, further information or advise would be much apreciated..... cheers

I have Yamaha YB100 two stroke model 2004. although the bike is in god condition. but one day when I was offroad at the speed of 100 suddenly my bike engine siezed in the middle of the road. when the engine got cooled it started again. I took my bike to technitian who said that your oil pump stoped working and due to over heat in cylinder head your engine seized. I changed the cylinder head. Now after changing it still my bike gets hot at the speed of 60. I have noticed that cylinder head is now again giving voice like some thing got loosed in cylinder chamber. I again took it to the technician who said that add a bit oil in the gas tank (Petrol tank). but problem is still…

3 mice are sitting in a bar drinking Tequila shots. The first mouse says "I am so hard that I run into mouse traps for fun. As the bar closes I bench press it 20 times". The second mouse says "I am so hard I get the mouse killer tablets from their boxes, crush them and snort them". The third mouse gets up to leave. The other two mice say "where are you going?" He replies........................................................."Home to sh*g the cat!!"

ive got one fitted to my trusty ER5 and when i get my FJ back ill fit one to that to, cost a bit and need to keep check on oil level and bit at the chain end but boy there are saving me miles and miles of wear, the police (hope its not a dirty word on here) use them on all bikes, and that stuff in cans that used to be used to spray on is like grinding paste and music to garages ears, who else thinks a scotoiler is the way to go? or do you think its waste of space??

I am looking to buy my first sport bike, and I have noticed that all the 600 series bikes from Honda, Suzuki, and such are around $13,000 CAN. But the Yamaha 600 series bikes are more around $9,000 CAN, and the 1000 series Yamaha bikes are around the same price as a 600 series Honda, or Suzuki. Why is this? Also, what should I be looking for in a bike? Should the low prices of Yamaha bikes worry me? Thanks in advance for any responses.

What's up all, been a Yamaho owner/avid fan for years now, just found this forum whilst looking for information on some dirtys. Basically I'm looking to downgrade in the power dept. Not permanently mind you, but I've just realized that my riding style needs a little check and balance now and then. I feel that my R1 may need some garage time, and I could spend some seat miles on a sumo. I have an opportunity to purchase a YZ426F for a pretty decent price, and would convert it to street /sumo duty quite easily, only I need to insist on electric start for street duty, so my question is: How difficult is it to add the electric start from a WR426 to a YZ426F? Is it …

Hi, First off, hi guys! I'm a newbie (both to biking and this forum) and I'm looking forward to getting involved in the big bad world of motorcycling... Anyway! After taking my CBT I've fallen in love with biking and I want to pass my test. I'm looking at getting a 125cc to practice on and have narrowed it down to the Honda CG125 and the Yamaha SR125; does anyone have any experience with either of their bikes? Also, I want to receive an A2 license and as some of you may know this requires the bike the test is taken on to be between 120-125cc and capable of 100kmh (62.5 mph). I realise it may be a bit of a bone-shaker, but will the Yamaha be capable of thi…

if you plum for one of these there a good hack to have, but beware of the rear wheel its good for up to 30,000 miles then its have it skimmed or find a replacement..... ive found a few on sites where you bid for em not sure if im aloud to say..... but they have been substandard to say the least. it was a case of scrap the bike or replace it and so £400 later got a new rear wheel. and use ASF grease on the brake activator thats atttached to the rear drum or you will be sorry they tend to get very stiff and seaze up!! I know it happened to me.
