I am planning to visit great britain this summer - on a Yamaha YBR 125. Until a few weeks ago it would have been a friend and myself, but he can not spend enough days away from home, so it seems to be me on my own. The very vast idea of the trip: Google Maps. I have read a lot of reviews "places you must see" and "places you do not want to visit/you must not do that". But: Most of them done by car and using the ferry to travel up to scotland and then drive down to the south. If you know a page that tells the story of someone that did a trip like that on his/her bike -> I would be glad to recieve a link. And: Some suggestions that I shou…

Hi everyone I've had a problem. Just lately she has been cutting out on initial start/ignition and on second start usually goes ok. On this occasion same thing happened, started fine then cut out then on second attempt....no ignition at all. Dead as a do-do. Though all the lights are working, all the fuses are intact, battery is at full power and took starter motor off to check it and that is running off an independant battery. In the past the regi/rec went and fried the old battery and the new regi/ rec has been on about 2 years, though it was a second hand one that some one had spare and gave me so don't know how old it is. I was wondering if any one had a…

Good, bad, indifferent? Most of them are perceived as being fascist bully boys with a humour bypass and strange moustaches. Just wondered if this is a generalisation or if those who slate them have been aggrieved in some way by them? This could be contentious and please remember this is a family show. Over to you....

All, I have a hobby of collecting and restoring old Hondas and a friend knowing that, passed a 78 DT100 to me. I told him I would get to the appropriate forum and see if I could help out some Yamaha collectors restores. I just got this account and not sure exactly how the site works. The bike is missing the gas tank, head, carb, exhaust, side cover. The rest is there. If there is something that you are looking for and I can help let me know. I decided to post here because I didn't want to see the bike end up in the trash. I'm a collector of Honda CT70s.

I bought a new bike yesterday, a Thundercat YZF600RR. Well it's not new, it's actually 13 years old. I bought it because my car was dying so I sold that and decided to get back on two wheels after two years. My last bike was an XJ600N. It was used for commuting, a little dull but it done the job. The Thundercat promises to be a different beast and after riding on it yesterday I had the most stupid grin and it was like I had never got off two wheels. The bike itself is in very good nick, no obvious signs of damage or wear. It's HPI clear, the front fork seals are leaking a little and the battery has now decided to not hold a charge. The cat has 30000 miles and only ha…

Hi, I may need a new battery and have been phoning around a few local dealers to get prices. I've been quoted between £42 - £48 for a sealed unit which I think is on the expensive side. Not keen on ordering from eBay, can anyone recommend a good reliable online store?
