Has anyone tried Philips X-treme Vision bulbs? They're supposed to be 130% brighter than standard H4 bulbs, and a lot easier than trying to do an LED conversion. I've just ordered a set from https://www.powerbulbs.com/au/product/philips-racingvision-h4-twin and got 20% off with NEWBIES coupon. Interested in how they are going to perform if anyone's tried them, before going down another route. Alex

I'm not sure how many MT03 owners there are on here, but I'm interested in the ones that have covered over 6000 miles (10,000km). Have any of you had to replace your cush drive rubbers ??

Hi all , I have a 2009 XJ6n that I will register in France and would like to know if the headlamp unit is switchable from rhd beam pattern to lhd like on some cars. I cannot find my owners manual although I would think a lhd headlamp is required. Beam deflectors will not be adequate. Regards , David

  8. Started by Cynic,

Today I have spent a couple of hours chasing insurance quotes for the daughters bike....... First quote was well over a grand, then searched around some more and got it down to around 1100 then with me on the policy and a lot of bartering I have got it down to 760. That's with CIA, (careful googling that one) third party only (excess starts at 600 quid on TPFT) fire and theft adds around 400 quid, with the excess on a bike that books at 500 quid is pointless. Anybody know any other insurance companies worth a try. I was expecting around 500 quid and quietly hoping it might be a bit less. Once you have 12 months on the bike the cost drops by over 60pc, its j…

Ok, mk 2 post. After having to use the bike early last year due to car issues my front wheel is suffering from white death, add that to a worn front tyre and well, you know....So I'm ooking at replacing the wheels in the tdr, the wheels I fancy (Aprilia Yspokes/6spoke) have bigger bearings and I have got hold of the dimensions from tdr.co.uk for the Cagiva mito which is pretty much the same axle kit, certainly use the same bearings. Won't know for rock steady certain till I actually have the wheels if these dimensions are right for the RS and if anybody has an idea to what kind of costs would the spacers/bushes be. Would be nice to have an idea before getting t…

So, my DT won't start using the starter motor, you can just hear the motor spinning but not turning engine over. the motor is fine and turns no problem, the big cog behind flywheel(not sure what this is called) also turns freely when starter button is pressed, the rollers on the back of the flywheel appear ok and move freely in and out, but just don't seem to engage, Could the rollers just be worn down?? Can they be purchased separately? if so where?

Ok you orrible lot, I know you get all frothy with pictures so here you go. Apart from the incredibly frustrating fact that the caliper bolts I ordered are m10x 1.5 and the actual caliper bolts needed are m10x1.25 the wheels are in, the radius on the front muddy maybe looks a little odd. (have dropped it an inch already. And everything on the rear is close but fits. Need to shorten the chain too as the prillia sprocket is 40t not 44, I could have got a 44 but fancied stretching the gearing a little. I may regret it but hey, a lot of my best ideas have been an 'I wonder if.............?'. Here you go I think they look killer. And before....

Hey there peeps. Been a while since I updated the toybox, managed to pick up a rather unusual piece... It came from Holland, and was used at Venray motor Speedway Stadium before it closed down some 7 years ago. It runs, there are no brakes (you die like a man) and it's just a little bit nutty, kind of like me. It's nice to have something unusual, and even nicer to have something with a story (including the dented tank that resulted in a broken collarbone!) , I'm undecided Wether to move it on or just hang it up in the unit beside my Aprilia

Good morning people, This is the tread for my little project, hopefully it's in the right place. This is my bike, a 2007 MT-03 I have dropped the front my an inch, raised the rear by about the same amount, added some rental bars. It did have two bar end mirrors but one has fallen off, evotech tail tidy and the fuel tank has been painted. It has a k&n panel filter, power commander 3, 748 ducati rear can which has changed it from a twin exit exhaust to a single. I have all the kit to make take this from a 636cc to 780cc and once I have the time to do it, luckily she's not my daily ride anymore so I can put her in one of my sheds and start…

Hi all, I am new to the forum. Although I don't ride nowadays I have a collection of 80's Jap bikes that I play with. At present I am restoring a 1988 dt50mx for my lad and am wondering if anyone could tell me if it should have round or rectangular indicators ? I think the latter is correct but not 100% on this. Many thanks.

Both riders displayed improved pace at the last round in Italy, highlighting the continued progress the team have made throughout the season. Lowes is looking to build on his second podium of the season at a track he clearly enjoys riding. His teammate van der Mark hopes to go one better than his fourth-place finish in race two at Misano, after he was cruelly denied the chance to fight for victory in race one because of a tyre failure. So at 4:10 this morning I heard a moped and lads talking. They were being loud and not even attempting to be sneaky. I looked out of the window and two of them are sat on the moped and two of them have lifted the cover off of my bike and tampering with it. I banged on the window and shouted at them. I told them they better fuck off or I will come down kick the fuck out of them. One of them threatened to smash my windows and another said "I'll stab you bro." I was shocked, they didn't even run off, they just carried on. I just couldn't believe the cheek of them. Anyway by the time I went out with my baseball bat all 4 of them were on the moped (yes 4 of them) and up the ro…

Just wanted to give a big thanks to the firm in Northampton that made my spacers. Fitted perfectly with my apalling draftmanship and didnt charge for fixing my 7mm cock up. Stephil (pronounced stefil) Engineering. Dunster street. Northampton 01604 630508 Old skool turners. Costs around £20/h plus material for any one off parts. 4 one off top hat spacers and some minor remachining of my sprocket carrier cost me 35quid. Real nice pair of blokes in a tiny unit that could talk the balls of a brass elephant. Reccomended.

Hey folks, hope this is the right place for this. Just had my first real accident, I know how i messed up and wont do it again. Unfortunately there is some minor damage, the left mirror is shattered and the back brake pedal is bent to a strange angle. Otherwise the bike seems fine but Of course i want it repaired. Since the dealer isnt currently answering the phone I came here to ask if anybody knows how much I could be talking about for repairs? The bikes a Yamaha YS125
