  1. Daft really but my daughter is now a strapping nigh on16year old national level hockey player rather than the tentative 13yr old on her first trip, end of last year I replaced the chain on the tdr. Before squires, so basically a new rear tyre and a c+s set . Well with daughter now a very proficient pillion my c+s is about fkt in under a year, around 2k miles and the rear tyre is burning up fast. My poor little tdr is doing more work that it was ever designed to. We go out and I don't really have to worry about her on the back and, well, give it some. Good job the new wheels are going on soon so changing sprockets and chain, may go up a chain size but god knows h…

The guy next door is selling his bike. A j plate KLE500 if anybody is interested. Its a little weatherd but sounds ok and starts easy. The real bonus is the hard luggage. We were saying how it will make no difference to the price of the bike. He knows i was fiddling with some sort of luggage and slap me if he said help yourself. Full set of hard luggage. 2 side cases and a top box. Need to make a few brackets but who cares.

  6. Today the Yamaha Factory riders were each able to test one of the two new frames available. Tomorrow they will switch to get a feel for the other option. After a challenging outing yesterday, Viñales was a man on a mission: he was one of the first riders to venture out on track again this morning and the last to return to the pit box as the session closed. His goal for today was to try one of the new frames as well as improve his feeling with the bike in hot conditions. Whilst consistently featuring at the top of the charts for most of the day, the Spaniard wasnt shy to put in 81 laps in total and set a best time of 144.437s on his penultimate lap to finish in seco…

The 26-year-old British rider was still recovering from a shoulder operation at Misano last year but managed to qualify in fourth and finish 13th and eighth respectively in the races. Lowes has not only been working hard with the team on the bike since Donington, but also has been looking at where he can improve personally, and heads to Misano focused and ready to race. Van der Mark also showed great pace at Donington, only missing out on the podium in race two by 0.7s. The 24-year-old Dutch rider t…

I get what the rectifier does (AC-DC) but does ALL the DC power go the the battery FIRST or does it have two DC outputs with one going to the battery and one for the lights? Basically I have all lights working when running but no charge at the battery, so was thinking either a connection fault or the rectifier has failed, ? I've not looked at the rectifier so not sure how many pins are on it yet.

  11. Viñales arrived in Montmeló in a good mood, after a mature ride at the Mugello Circuit. He extended his lead in the championship to 26 points with a well-deserved second place finish, giving him a healthy margin as he commences the seventh round of the 2017 MotoGP season. The young contender hopes to ride his YZR-M1 to the rostrum this weekend in front of the Catalan fans. He previously achieved four consecutive podium finishes here in the lower classes, with a second place in 125cc (2011), a first and third place in the Moto3 championship (2012 and 2013), and a second position in Moto2 (2014). In the MotoGP class he scored his best result last year, finishing just o…

The track and venue in Orlyonok, Russia, is located on the eastern shore of the Black Sea, 150km North West of Sochi. While the circuit it is new to the MXGP calendar, and will be foreign to most of the riders in MXGP and MX2, it actually made its international debut last year as the host of the 2016 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship. The pale coloured clay track is relatively wide and flowing with plenty of elevation. It was also very long last year, although it is said to be shorter for the grand prix this weekend. Jeremy Van Horebeek goes in tied on 261 points with the defending world champion Tim Gajser - in fourth place - and is 28-points shy of Belgian co…

  13. Hi guys, As some of you will know I picked up my new and first bike the other day. I have a lots of words for this bike, but one comes to mind...amazing! I've done around 250 miles over the weekend all on A/B roads, countryside and town and have to say as per the short test ride the weekend before on the demo I have found this bike amazingly easy to ride. I'm 42, 6'1 (183cm) 80kg/just under 13 stone, have slightly shorter legs then average, size 9.5/44 feet ... funny to put all this but I point this out as I really struggled to get comfortable on most sports bikes I tried! Some of this though would be down to new boots and leathers. …

I just bought a 1980 GS550 on eBay, gonna go view/buy it tomorrow, anyone know about any specifics you should look out for on these, all I could find was usual stuff, didn't see anything about specific known issues. Can't wait to go see it, just hope it's not a dud, but from what I've heard they're the definition of bulletproof, this is the bike in question: Ignore the horrible gold paint, that's be re-done the second I get it home

  18. I had a trackday booked at Donny last month but had to cancel it due to an untimely re-occurrence of trigger finger on the left hand. Knuckle swelled up and I could no longer pull the clutch. I had previously modified the slave lever to reduce the load, which worked to a degree, but when I sat down and thought a little longer about the hand, it crossed my my that the heavy clutch/repetitive movement might actually be the cause. I did a bit of research on the ineterwebby and could go hydraulic with chinese parts for 30 to 40 quid, but some of the reviews of part quality led me to steer clear. So I took the opportunity while at the last stafford show and got a show price de…

Hi all, I just had the clutch changed on my YBR last week (about 35k on the clocks) as it was slipping. Drove away from the shop and happy days it felt great until I was riding over the hills today and I went for the clutch and there's nothing there. I had to change through all gears without the clutch which waa ok until I had to stop facing up a hill which made getting going a little difficult. I took the clutch cable off the engine and there is no resistance at all when I move the lever on the engine. It's like the push rod is no longer engaged to the lever to disengage the clutch. Is there an easy fix or am I going to have to attempt the 50km ri…

Hi guys, Finally my new bike has arrived, been a long wait but I have to say the bike is awesome!! My background is very new to bikes, having only passed my test in February and as part of my early mid life crisis (42) decided on my first and probably last Sports bike, a 600 being way enough for me! My thing has been cars all my life, having some funky track use cars in the last 10 years i decided a sport bike was a tick box i needed to do. Back to the bike, I've tried several 600cc high output bikes and didn't get on to well with them, mostly on riding position 183cm/ 6ft1 but also as my first bike and having only brand new fast cars I decided a brand…
