    After all my work and expensive garage time it hasn't worked so now looking at this for a simple almost bolt on option but can't work out how to wire up, my bike only has a power and earth to speedo light not a separate backlight wire. I have an xv125

    I have an american import DT 175 E. Yamaha have confirmed that it a 1978 model. Did the american models have there lights on permanantley as on the left hand control there is only the horn,indicator and HI - Lo switch. There is only one position on the ignition ,on or off and there is no wiring on the harness for the usual sidelight. Please can anyone confirm this. Thank you.

    Hey, just trying to order some nuts and bolts for the Aprilia and got myself in a cunfuxed state. I know bikes are nominally metric fine, but! I don't actually know what that is . Im seeing 0.8 coarse, 0.8 fine etc. But then there is 1.0 and 1.25 also in both coarse and fine. Feels a stupid question but what do I actually want. I have just got generic catchall kits for UJM in the past, never really thought about what metric fine was as such. I have all the big stuff, its all the abused and random or just plain missing bodywork and plastic mounting stuff I'm after.     Hello I need some help with my bike I brought a replacement cdi (one from eBay) a while ago and managed to get it started but the bike got really hot really quick also sound really tapping top end I also noticed the carb was leaking fuel out the over flow so I rebuilt the carb got it ultra sonic cleaned and checked reeds. since I have done this it's nearly impossible to start only starts from cold being bumped but when hot will start 1 or 2 kicks done a compression test around 145 -150 so that's fine when it was running I sprayed carb cleaning on crank seal no change. i don't think it's fuel related because I sprayed easy start straight into the cyclinder when c…

    Hi all, I`m in need of a bit of expert advice (so whats new lol) I am not exactly mechanically minded, but will give anything a go with a bit of help. I last used the Draggie in November for a Remembrance Day parade, got her out last week, started up fine, left running to warm up, then when I switched off, the starter motor was continuously turning even with no ignition on, I removed the key and it was still turning, I had to disconnect the battery to stop the bloody thing, solenoid?? What do you guys/gals think?

    I'm selling my SR250 to a friend, but we want to fix or at least understand a certain issue first. Problem: When going at near-maximum speed, motor starts couching and eventually goes out. The top-speed has gone from 120 to 80 during the last 4 months. First fix (not counting changing the oil): Today I was opening the case of the air filter for the first time, and I was expecting a black, nasty foam that needs mineral spirits to clean it or replacement.     Ok I'm sure someone is gonna answer this pretty quick but I've installed new indicators plain old bulb ones bought from china on ebay, installed rear ones first and checked and they worked fine I've installed front and now only thr front right hand side and left rear side work and they flashing double speed, Any ideas

    Currently got the 650 Dragstar which I have enjoyed but I am now hankering back to what I would call a normal bike. The wife doesn't find the Draggy's pillion perch very comfortable over distance so her wants are better pillion seat and ideally some lockable luggage that can take two helmets and possibly our jackets. My wants on top of hers are full fairing for better weather protection and more oomph. Any one got any suggestions on what to start looking at based on experience? Doesn't have to be Yamaha as I may keep the Draggy as a summer run around.

    I have a 2007 TTR 125 with a 150cc big bore kit. It currently has a stock 13T on it and I want to change it. I'm thinking about putting a 10T on it, and I've found many that fit but most of them say they're for pit bikes. Is it a bad idea to put a counter sprocket this small on my bike?

    Hello everyone, I recently bought a DT 175 E (american import 1978 ) and it had a brand new pattern carb on it .The guy who I bought it off gave me a box of bits and said the original carb was in there. I looked and found a Mikuni carb with the numbers 3JT 00 on it or that what it looked like.Does any one know if this sounds right. Thanks Mark

I cannot find anybody that makes a kit for the mk1 fazy, i got in touch with Samco Sport.     Hi All Apologies for the following strange request: I have just recovered a 1980 DT from a barn - I bought it off a mate who was emigrating more than 30 years ago and it has sat there since. Remarkably, I think it could be resurrected. My 17 yo lad is keen to do this. Problem 1 (there will be more, I'm sure), I can't remember if it is a 125 or a 175 (The V5 disappeared years ago and there are no capacity decals on it). Is there anyway I can tell from the frame number or do I need the engine number? I assume it is the frame number on the headstock - it's a bit ropey but I think it is 02168?X?. I believe that 125 and 175 parts are pretty interchangeable, but …

    Hi all Sorry if I've put this in the wrong section, I'm new to this site but desperately need advice. It all started about a week or two ago, I got my ignition barrel changed on my YBR 125 and since then the bike has been struggling to go into neutral, it isn't smooth at all although changing between gears is fine and it's been running perfectly. Anyway, I've had this issue before and it was just that the clutch cable was too loose, so I figured maybe it got loosened during the ignition change, so I thought nothing of it and adjusted the cable today.
