Hi, I am looking for some advice on a problem with my motorbike.... it has never run correctly and the problem has gone from bad to worse! I bought a 1995 FZR600 a year ago and on the first outing it had a spluttering issue at about 7000 rpm. If you keep the power in it broke through it and then carried on revving okish. I contacted the guy I bought it from and he said "the bike has been sitting for a while so old fuel and/or blockage in the carbs could be the problem". So, as I've mentioned in my intro I'm looking to grab me a 125 Dragstar soon as I have enough money for it, insurance and a helmet and the CBT. Just wandered if there is any advice people might give on this? I'll give a little explanation. I've a good idea of the basics of how to ride a bike but I guess experience is always the way forward. Recently aquired a 1978 DT 125e. It has been sitting for at least 20 years. So I knew it was going to take some doing to get it on the road again. Here is a list of the things that I have replaced: 1. Battery 2. Air filter 3. Coil 4. Points (I didnt replace the condenser because in my experience they usually dont go bad, plus it was hard wired in an looked to be a PITA) 5. Fuel and Oil lines 6. Removed the carburetor and rebuilt it leaving the float set at were it was when I removed it. I checked: 1. cleaned the gas tank and the fuel switch, including the strainers. (it drains fuel at about a half gallon/min now) 2. had to free up the stuck clutch disks. 3. r…

Hi, First post on this, just after a bit of advice. I have recently bought a 600 Fazer, W reg, and seem to have some problems starting it with a cold engine. If I start it like I normally would on a bike, it will fire up, and then die. So I find that I have to push the button, turn the throttle and hold it for a couple of seconds to keep it ticking over. I have looked at the plugs, cleaned some dirt off them and put them back in. My other thought is that would it be related to the carbs at all? As when I start it, with choke, and set it so it's ticking over (just above 1,000 revs), it is on the side stand. But then if I am to sit on the bike and lean it up right, after…

Hey everyone. what are the regulations with regards to headlights on motorcycles. i.e do they need to be a specific height above the ground, do they have to focus on a specific point at an exact distance from the headlight itself?. basically im planning a front-end (temporary) modification to the XJ600... basically a deadmau5 head with eyes as headlights, if i can upload a few pphotos from my sketchpad i can give you guys and gals an idea of what im after, but ideally i would need to get to the bottom of this headlight dilema before i can settle on a design cheers all - Foameh x

Howdy, The situation is that im trying to find some chrome pannier racks for the YBR Custom, but cant find any that fit the bike. So just wondering if anyone out there has been in the same situation or knows of any that do fit the YBR Custom?

on this bike does it say anywhere on the bike the size of the motor? i am looking at one to buy and noticed that it didnt say it was a 400 anywhere on it.

Hey guys, So.... i bought my bike on tuesday and so far have ridden it up and down the close at half throttle in a straight line, turned, then come back again. Today though i am off to four marks to get some practice in. i know 90% of it will be trial and error and just getting confident with the bike and more importantly myself, but anyone have any tips for me?

Well i finished the first turbo, as much as i could do,turbo needs rebuilding but blew my budget on a newer engine On ebay now looking for her new home, very sad to see this one go but gotta make money some way

Hi, can anybody please help me? I own a XS850 standard to which I have triked. I recently bought a Rickman Polaris Fairing and It cacame with a 'Universal' fit frame, guess what? yes it doesn't fit AT ALL!!!!!! So can anybody please send me a picture of the right one and some measuurements and i will fabricate one? Hi guys, I'm Bas from the Netherlands, i'm not currently owning a Yamaha. But i'm hoping to get myself a 2005 TZR50 next week. I do own a bike, a 1982 Puch maxi. Hi everyone, I recently acquired a 74 rd 200. Can't find much on it so hopefully someone out there knows, I'm looking for the type of transmission fluid for the bike. What's in there now is pink and I'm not sure if that's right. Also I'm trying to confirm the correct plugs. Any advice to a new owner is also appreciated
