I have a Yamaha Roadstar Silverado 1600, my wife & I love to ride but always struggle to communicate while riding. I would like a good unit with capabilities to communicate with other bikes and perhaps a GPS or phone as well but primarily between her & I. I am not crazy about having to be wired into a unit but if it is a must for the better units then okay. Please tell me anything you know about what you have seen in use or what you use and what you think you would or would not buy and why. Thanks Gang, Randy

What’s wrong with people now days, I’ve crashed my bike last week on the way to work, there was a lovely fresh gravel on a corner and it was too late to do anything, front wheel lost grip and I went flying down the road across two lanes of traffic on my head and shoulder, luckily the bike survived very well, and my leather and helmet did their part, but the point of this post is NOT ONE F…..ing person even got out of their car to see if I was still alive and needed any help, they just sat in their f….ing cars looking at me crawling around on the ground trying to pick my self and bike. I mean come on!!!!!!! Are we all so heartless now days?!?!?!?!?! Runt over, needed to v…

What you will need: Fishing line A tiny little lead weight Some u hook's or equizelent An old fashion alarm clock--- the ones with the ringing bells on top of them A battery---12v is best Two pieces of copper wire---stripped at each end A loud horn---eg truck horn How it workes: 1) Bike parked up for the nite, now tie one end of the fishing line to something solid like fenceing post. 2) Start to souround the bike with the fishing line using the u hooks, feeding the line through the u hooks 3) The line must not get caught or snaged on anything from the time it leaves the tied end at the fencing post 4) When bike has been sourounded once with the line it n…

Let me start by declaring myself a boring old fart. Thank you. I realise its unusual to do cbt at age 46 and to have never owned a petrol powered machine before, but I have cycled all my life and can drive a car (just never needed to buy one), so I believe I have a modicum of road sense. I think that's what got me through the cbt really, once out on the road I started to settle down. Previously in the cbt I'd proven myself expert at riding into cones and almost into the instructor. Also very good at stalling and almost dropping the bike (almost breaking my leg). My fellow trainees were all half my age or so and much more competent, they'd all ridden geared bikes bef…

Hi I'm Loopy and I just wanted to say hello.. I've been riding for 3 years and bought a BabyBlade after passing my test and ran about everywhere on her for 2 years.. I got a 95 Urban Tiger Fireblade for Christmas this year and after finding the BabyBlade too small after the big blade I decided to sell her.. Her new owner collected and paid for her last weekend and on the Monday I agreed to buy a 97 Thundercat and we went and collected her from Bournemouth yesterday Here's my new 'cat and here's my Blade I'm one very happy girl this afternoon after taking a few rides out on my new 'cat.. I absolutely love her

After the shaft drive on my R1150R broke at 50k miles (a common fault I'm lead to believe) I'm thinking of selling the piece of German junk. Apart from the shit build quality and crap indicator switches that need 3 sepearte buttons to operate them the thing that irks me the most is the fact that I have to fill the tank every 160 miles, a real pain as it needs a fuel stop every day if I'm commuting to work or every few hours if I'm on a long run. being able to get 200 + from a tank full would be an advantage. Anyone got a XJR1200/1300 tell me how many miles it'll do to a tank? And any other problems the bike suffers?

. These are my favorite motorcycle commercials or at least the ones I remember the most ... what are yours? . If you have ever ridden one doing sixty mph peg the throttle Then the v boost kicks in and the rear tire lights up - WOW ! ! ! ................ . Who can ever forget ... Let the good times roll ............... . And I have to say this commercial is just A beautiful piece of artwork - pure Italian to its core ............... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4kJqTiL38k . Hope you had fun . Karen

hi all iv just ridden an electric moped!!!! well its actually a pushbike in the shape of a moped but i was pleasantly suprised!! they have lights, indicators, a horn and it can do 70mph up hill!!! the main good thing is you dont need to pay tax, insurance and rising petrol costs! its something like 7p and 4 hours to charge the 24volt battery and you get about 28 miles out of a single charge but you can pedal the thing as well as use the throttle! iv had a blast and there great fun and quite nippy! i am seriously thinking about spending my hard earned cash on one of these! brand new they cost from £1000 to £1500 but when you compare that to a new 50cc scooter, insuran…

. WHAT REALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY . It is not detailed by any means for there are many issues of physics, air temperature, elevation and so on which affect that which you are about to read ... furthermore for this example I are using a non-computerized, non-fuel-injected, general four stroke machine with a breaker-point ingnition ... such as a motorbike built within the 1960s ... as an example a 1968 Moto Guzzi V1000 Ambassador ... ... Thus consider this to be a general outline or overview of that which happens when ... you ... the rider ... get onto your motorcycle. . As you turn the key it must properly engage the ignition to move the pins into the c…

Hi everyone! My son just bought a 1986 Radian - loves it, running great but much to my embarassment I`m having trouble with the oil change!! For one thing, it is very difficult to tell the oil level from the viewer which is either too dirty or maybe so full that I can`t get a level. Next, where will i find the oil filterÉÉ rather not take the whole thing apart - I`m sure it is behuind the cover just above the filler cap but I`d like to be sure. Finally, what filter do you suggest and do we know the approximate oil capacityÉÉ thanks so much - Doc
