hey peeps! with the delivery of my new michelin pilot sport front tyre, replacement of the fork seals and repair of the front mudguard, my XJ has now been MOT'd and i am once again on the road... brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye as the memories of my old DT came flooding back... *sniffle*. anyway, i am now itching to get the spanners out and tinker with my newfound love, but what modifications can i do/buy for such an oldish bike?, it already has a full motad neta exhaust and a front fender extender, and heated grips are next on my list. what else can i do to this bike to personalise it and make it more enjoyable to ride? (imparticular, where can i …

hi everyone. i can see this XJ turning into another Jawa project :/ the only thing standing between my XJ and an MOT are the fork seals, i have now got round to stripping them down and doing the seals but i cant for the life of me seperate the stanchion from the fork leg!, ive taken the cap off, spring out and the other thingy, taken the allen screw out of the bottom of the fork leg but it still wont come out, feels like there is something else holding it in there. any input appreciated -Steve

Thought i'd let you lot know, was having a bimble on thursday evening. Was in the middle of a three lane roundabout doing maybe 25mph, when a car changed it's mind about taking and exit and turned from lane 1 to lane 3 and across my path. Coudln't avoid it and hit the side of it. Head-butted the car and went to ground. I think the XJ6 is a write-off (which i'm gutted about as it seemed the perfect all-round machine) Now very bored at home with a stiff neck - went to hospital yesterday, but they just said it's gonna be painful and to rest. The Alps trip and Squires Cafe was a real high, but this a low, fortunately my friends have been helpful and i always tend to…

Am I just a deal seeker or is this website legit? www.alibaba.com Search for things like R6's there available for $500-2000 Either there direct from factory or this is a scam I have noticed most seller's are actually listed as females? coincidence i'm not sure :S I have also found a dealer which makes leathers and such like at extremely low prices due to not being big brands they are still relatively cheap (£112 for a two piece of 1.5mm thick leathers) Also by the end of this month I should be able to confirm at least one company due to having purchased my 4th set of boots (who knows why I have so many now :S) but only time shall tell Cheers christian

They didn't take the motorcycles, but they did steal our bikes. I had a nice Specialized Allez, and my fiance had an older Trek Mountain bike. They used bolt cutters to get passed the combination lock. We'll get about $200 back from the homeowners insurance, but that's only 20% of the cost. I have since gotten a new clasp and stronger lock for the door, and ordered a motion sensor alarm. Asshats!

Hi All Just got my TDM 900. I'm hoping it'll be a good winter alternative to my Multistrada 1100S. It has a problem with the tacho I'm trying to sort. Other than that it seems up and together. I change bikes like underwear - I'm on my 3rd Multi in as many years! Booney

Yet another pointless post from me In my mind I can see a top 4 sportsbike 600cc which are: Yamaha R6 Suzuki GSX600R Honda CBR 600 RR Kawasaki ninja ZX6R Now being your average overly high on hormones teenager these are four very predictable popular bikes for me to say " I like them because there fast" yet this is not the real reason I say these four bikes for one reason. My uncle has had one of each and I more often than not will swear by what he says due to him being an ex racer and being a teenager will believe anything. Now my question to the forum is which of this would you pick? And it's not over yet give a rating on these points: (out of …
