Ok, so i just read foamys thread about the bike test and didnt want to hijack his thread with questions so heres another one! I've been riding on a CBT for almost 4years now, have done a repeat! I've looked on the DVLA website but all it does is confuses me! If i take the module 1 and 2 test on my dt125re, does this mean i have to stay riding a 125 for 2 years or can i take it on the dt and then buy a restricted fazer600 ( 33bhp)? I've also got the theory test booked. For the 29th april i think. ideally need to get the test done before july so i dont have to pay another 100 squids to get another CBT! I just cant work out what the rules are, so if anyone has co…

Hi all, I started my xvs up last week after about 5 months and had it on a bike jack. The gears changed no problem. I started up this week and cannot get it above second gear. First second neutral is all fine. I rode it up for a mile to warm it up thinking it may be the clutch plates but still no joy even when engine is hot. Any ideas?

Blonde housewife goes into local fish & chip shop. "Cod & chips twice please" "I'm ever so sorry" said the owner, "but were right out of cod, will anything else do?" "Oh dear," she said. "my husband insisted on cod & chips, I'd better go back and ask him if he wants anything else" Half an hour later she returns, when she gets to the front of the queue, she says, "Cod & chips twice please" Once again, the owner says. "I'm ever so sorry", "but were right out of cod, will anything else do?" "Oh dear," she said. I am 19 and have recently passed my cbt for the second time. I have been riding my cbr125 around but when i see these 600cc bikes fly past i am so jealous its unreal. so i am now debating throwing in the towel with my cbr, doing my test and getting a proper bike (really liking the R6) Can some one please explain about the whole restriction thing, from what i have heard i will be restricted to a 33hp bike. so is it possible to buy a restricted 600cc? am i too ambitious going from a 125 to 600? (been riding for 3 years but obviously only on small bikes/scooters) i am quite a short person and the cbr 125 fits me perfectly, are the bigger engine size bikes actually larger?…

Hey all, Loving my new Yamaha and slowly getting the hang and feel of the extra weight and size. The only thing I'm having problems with at the moment is the side mirrors. For some reason no matter what angle or however far I push the bar back I just cant seem to get a comfortable rear view (as in with my previous CBR). Currently when I have them angled at the correct height I'm seeing too much of my elbows and cant seem to extend the view out enough. Are there actually any commercial extenders for the side mirrors? Just something to give me an extra inch or 2 out. I had a look at my mates YZF and he said he initially had the same problem as me but had it some…

Me, my wife, son & daughter went to Bristol today to do a bit of shopping and have a meal out. As I started to cross the trumpet bridge I noticed an Eastern European woman sat down cross legged on the bridge with a baby in her arms rocking it side to side. I have always thought, "don't these babies ever get bigger?" When I got next to "her" I realised it was a bloke with a duffle bag rocking it side to side.

hi all was wondering the other day if there is a fixed rake adjuster out there? i want to be able to adjust the rake without swapping parts. iv come up with a design that would be welded to ur frame and allow you to adjust the rake to preset angles just by moving a bolt, but need to compare it to other ideas b4 i start spending money on testing. iv had a gander on google and cant see anything remotely similar, just ur usual new yoke and fork setup. so if anyone has heard of such a thing or can post a website id b grateful cheers .Paul.

Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum and to Yamaha aswell. My last bike was Honday CBR 125R. I'm now currently riding a YZF R125. Quick pic of my baby: I've got a quick question; My previous gloves were alpinestar GP Plus size large. (They were handed down to me from a friend when I first bought my original bike). Fitting was perfect. I recently bought a new pair of alpinestar GP Pro gloves.. large again. But tbh at the moment my hands are red and raw from the tight fitting of the gloves.. I even find it difficult to make a fist. Someone mentioned to me that it does take a little while for leather products to wear in. Any ideas on how long? …
