Hello everyone, first of all let me introduce myself, my name is Sam, I've been riding my 02' thundercat (UK spec) for half a year now. I have come to you in desperate need of help. As the topic suggests my bike is vibrating when accelerating in 4th gear. This is the only time it happens, and it vibrates lower down in the rev range, with the vibration being more prominent the harder you twist the throttle. As the revs get into the 7k+ range the vibration doesnt appear to occur. If I could describe the vibration, my closest description would be that it feels like something could be grinding. I'm dreading that it may be a serious problem with the gearbox, although …

I don't know if there is anyone interested, but right now the only true 'Race to Dakar' is taking place. You will of course know that 'Le Dakar' is no longer run in Africa (although there was a rumour that it might return this year - but hasn't!), in it's place there runs a classic event (under classic rules, rather than first-past-the-post). Take a look at the links, there are a couple of Yamaha's running, a classic Tenere, and a new Tenere. You'll have to excuse the quality, had to print the pic then scan it back in... The guy you see here on Number 5 is a mate of mine, on a pretty much stock 2009 Tenere (the forks have been replaced with WP40's for lo…

My mate Kev (aka UP YOURS ) has finally managed to get 60 mpg out of his 350LC by pushing it the last 50 miles. My link Old Mr Faithfull, aka Mellow Yellow finally bit him on the arse and lost its front sprocket. Which Wally put THAT on? If I was you I would take it back from where you bought itand ask for your money back.. What are mates for but to photograph you loading your knackered bike into a mates van. My link Ive removed the reg number just in case Kevs forgot to road tax it again. Have-a-nice-daaaayyyyyyyy.

Hey peeps. just been reading through the squires thread, kinda made me think about my old DT and the smell of two stroke... and also my old Jawa and the smell of two stroke and the 'agro its caused me over the past year and a bit ive had it... so, im thinking of getting it back on the road... however, after the slight mishap with the forks and the late mr JimR (not seen him in aaaages!), ive given up on the stock jawa forks... now, here comes my brilliant idea... when rebuilding the XJs forks, i happened to notice that it uses 36mm fork stanchions, same size as the jawa, and the bike is more or less the same height and the same sort of shape (tourer-ish) …

hi peeps had a little incident with my XJ on sunday, regulator/rectifier unit went pop, need a new one now... and im not shelling out £60 for one. where can i find another regulator/rectifier unit? theres some second hand ones on ebay going for around £20 but id rather get a new one that i can trust. are the units unique to every bike? or is there a generic part that would fit and do the job just as well? -Steve

Ok, I just read this on another site and thought it was a good point, Ok, I'm pretty sure this has been discussed on here before, but thought this would be as good a time as any to remind everybody out there to check your expiry date on your drivers licence photo card. I only say this because I've recently recieved the reminder and necessary forms to renew my photo, as it's well over ten years old! (13 to be exact) Even though I had a new one issued in January 2008 when I passed my direct access. Any way, check the photocard, and get ready to pay out £20 for the pleasure of updating your mugshot! Not only that, but it's not uncommon for people to for…

got this one to. A most extraordinary trial is going on in the High Court at the moment in which a man named Chrysler is accused of stealing more than 40,000 coat hangers from hotels round the world. He admits his guilt, but in his defence he claims that – well, perhaps it would be simpler just to bring you a brief extract from the trial. We join the case at the point where Chrysler has just taken the stand. Counsel: What is your name? Chrysler: Chrysler. Arnold Chrysler. Counsel: Is that your own name? Chrysler: Whose name do you think it is? Counsel: I am just asking if it is your name. Chrysler: And I have just told you it is. Why …

Biker Angel please be my guide as I climb my Bike to ride. Let your halo guide the way and keep me safe from harm today. Let your wings provide the wind and air and send it coursing through my hair. Show to me a sunny place and let it shine upon my face. Keep the clouds and rain at bay and keep me dry through the day. Watch the friends who ride with me keep them safe and close to thee. Keep my wheels upon the ground so I'll return safe and sound. But should disaster be my fate, guide me through to Heaven's gate.

Hey all -- My first post on this forum - I just aquired an 87 FZ 600 / and it needs a little work - I think I can handle the project - though I am missing some body panels and I am sure I will need some odds and ends as I go --- Does anyone know where I can find L and R Side Panels for this bike -- and can someone clairfy that the 1987 was a FZ (and not an FZR) Also - ANY tips, links or advice on what stuff will fit my bike would be much appreciated - I'm not concearned about bringing it back to stock looks -- so if 88 or 89 parts fit my bike - and someone knows this...please let me know -- Thanks in advance....BTW Im just west of Toronto On - Canada

This is the Honda Transalp XL 700 V, released new in 2008. I'm growing to like this bike and was wondering what you all thaught of it ? I have been trying to compare it to other bikes in its catogery and am still not sure which one would suit me best. If ya have the time maby ya could shed some light on this topic, compare it to other bikes in its class and tell me what ya think,,good or bad, even pick a bike that you consider better. Cheers Pat.

snipped from the Motorcycle news, have a read at the article and take the opportunity to fill in the questionnaire at the bottom, there is only 3 WEEKS consultation time before this proposal is moved up a notch its expensive enough these days to keep a bike on the road, Brussels plan to make it harder http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/General-news/2010/September/sep2210-euro-moto-threat/

Hello, I'm new here so I thought I'd come and introduce myself, since I plan on sticking around I had a DT50 MX many many moons ago and only just got round to getting another bike, with Yamaha being my primary choice since I remember that first bike fondly, so I've gone out and got myself a shiny new YBR 125 (I considered the Honda CBF too, but I didn't like the big plastic pointy nose). Shame about the giant ugly L plates, but I plan on getting my A1 some time in the next year so I can bin 'em. Can't see myself ever getting anything bigger - I'm the complete opposite of a speed freak. I know absolutely nothing about bikes, apart from what pleases me aest…
