Hi all, My fabric trousers are about to fall apart. Not good for a pair that is less than a year old. But not to name the brand that has not survived the year (RST Rift - the seams have gone in several places - not recommended) I don't want leather but I do need a short leg so I have been looking at Weise Titans as I like the Weise quality of the stuff I have got. Before I buy a pair, are there any others with a short leg I could be looking? Alternatively, does anyone have any experience of Kevlar jeans? Ta

Evening all Am looking to help a buddy in Ireland(south) looking to get back on a bike after forty years without one! Restrictions include max power at 33 BHP and knackered knee and hip joints. The combination of these factores points solidly towards a cruiser style of bike I feel.I am told that even after passing their m/c test, you stay on L plates for two years with the BHP restriction as well. He needs a bike, two cylinders min, legaly restricted if required, that will keep his riding interest up even when more experienced, so a 20HP Suzy Maurader would probably not appeal. So learned friends, what make and model do you think I could suggest to him? From a price pe…

Hi, My daughter is moving (to Manchester) and wants me to transport her Virago. I have transported other bikes around locally using a "Monocle Lift", which holds the front wheel and allows the rear wheel to run on the road (similar to ), but I have not yet travelled this far or as fast as I will have to (130 miles at 60 MPH), so I am a bit concerned about overheating or otherwise damaging the gearbox by thrashing its guts around at high speed without the engine running. My question is: will the gearbox be lubricated sufficiently by being rotated by its output sprocket, or should I remove the chain so the gearbox does not rotate. Regards, Iain, in Rugby

I got a couple of packages today of suff I had brought for the Suzi. One was some pattern parts for the far east and were what I ordered. The other was from German ebay. Here is the story The other week I managed to win 2 German ebay auctions from the same guy once I had clarified that he would combine the postage. The auctions only had a couple of bidders. One was for a side panel, 2 chrome exhaust shields and a painted secondary exhaust head shield (one auction). The other was a NOS Cylinder head. A big box turned up today. Opening it up there was a lot of German newspaper in the box. I rummage through and come across an air filter box and cover with the i…

Hi guys, just would line a bit of info about restricting an R6. I've just passed my mod 1 on my yzf r125,doing mod 2 shortly.obviously I'm gonna be restricted to 33 bhp for 2 years.I wouldn't mind riding a bigger bike (r6) fir the 2years restricted.I'm not the type to pull up at traffic lights and try and race everything in sight I just want to get used to the weight and feel of a big bike, the power will come when my restriction gets lifted,so all I'd like to know is can it damage the bike in any way by restricting it??and is it safe to ride I.e when u pull away would you have to rev the arse off it to get it moving?? Advise please people, thanks

Hey all. I am looking to buy gear at the moment. Need some feedback from anyone who has ahd any experiences however insignificant they think they might be with regards to purchasing of motorcycling gear. I went into a dealers yesterday and looked around at some gear. asked the guy there. He recommended the RICHA Ballistic Set of leathers. They look pretty good. This is going to be my first set of gear as i,m starting out. Can anybody recommend or give me examples of what they would go for and why. I,m gonna go for leather for sure. But just in regards to maybe having this gear or knowing someone who has this gear or simila…

Hey guys it's been a while and thats because me and my dad have been working on a new project bike for when I'm 17 and will be using my dads YZF R125 so he bought a 1989 CBR400RR which had been streetfightered and we are currently restoring it back to a stock bike and will then be purchasing a TYGA body kit to bring it up to date (In terms of visual appeasement). Currently what has been done is we've rewired the bike so that the lights all work again and removed the old subframe since it had been cut in half and will be looking to buy a new one soon enough. Personally I am not a big fan of Honda's work but the TYGA kit looks like something especially nice. Pictures …
