Hi all I've just bought a diversion screen for my xj6 (not a diversion) I know it's meant to screw o to the fairing but I know there must be a way Of fitting it without having to manufacture a complicated bracket system and drilling holes into my clock dash etc If anyone has any experience of fitting a divvy screen onto a naked xj6 I would be appreciative of any help Cheers

What happened to speedo cables with an outer and an inner with two knurled knobs, one at each end? The SV speedo has decided to pack up. Common fault, normally the rotor or the sensor. so either £21 or £120 to fix. I guess both plus VAT I just hope something was not clicked in when I had the wheels off for the tyres a few weeks ago. So front wheel off today and a quick lube to get set for Lincoln tomorrow.

Hello, I have L plates front and back. I have seen many bikes with only L plates on the rear of the bike. What does Mr Plod think about this, is it legal? or can i remove my front L plate? It'll look much nicer with it off. Thanks

Hello All, I was looking to see if anyone else has been having massive problems with the RST line of clothes. Currently I owe: RST leather touring jacket (never had any problems with it apart from weighing a ton) RST Raptor textile Jacket - The seam has come away at the elbow after only 6 months of having it RST Enduro textile Jeans - The seam split at the ankle and the velcro on the pocket at the sides came away. Saying that I've managed to get both textiles replaced without much hassle from Sportsbikeshop who were pretty damn awesome with their Customer service. I got the feeling that RST doesn't really stand up to hard biking, for instance I ride all we…

With an interest in World War 2, I thought it would be poignant to remember that tomorrow marks the 67th anniversary of D Day. In 1944, allied troops landed on the Normandy beaches.

Hi there, if you read my last thread you would of heard that I'm having problems with my dt50, well today I took off the reed valve to check for any obvious breaks or tears, we'll when I got it off, (after some grief from a specialist bolt) I found that the reed valve was fine but the crankshaft was full with petrol, when I kicked the bike it was splashing out, my dad said it could be the carb is ruined, but does anyone else know of any other things to check? Next on my list is to take off the head and check the piston rings, make sure there's no cracks in the head, but other than this, does anyone know things I should check?

Been told by the 'oh great one who menstruates' that before I spend anymore money on "that bloody bike" (the dt)that I've got to get rid of some of the other bikes, fair enough, theres two or three bikes that are more or less ready for flogging on, one of them is a Motorhispania, that me and the lad, took on as a renovation. I'ts about all finished now bar a couple of bits to do, only I've hit a problem with the Ignition wiring, theres 6 tabs on the back of the ignition, and 4 wires, Black, Grey, Yellow, Green, I've asked everywhere, dealorships, main agents, etc but nope, the wiring diagram I have only shows two wires going into the ignition.I'm hoping that there might ju…

Those that know me know that I have been looking for a new classic project. I have looked at a GT185 and last weekend did a 130 mile round trip to look at a XT500. I have trawled through the papers and interweb. I had narrowed my search to mainly looking for a XT500, a TDR250 or a classic 2 stroker. My attention was called to a bike on evilbay with a dodgy single picture showing nothing of the bike and posted in the wrong category. The bike didn't seem to attract a lot of interest but I spoke to the bloke on the phone and he gave me some further details, including a blown piston and that the bike had been in his garage since 1995 and had about 14k miles on it. Armed with …
