Went out for a blast on Saturday....Devils Bridge thread... anyway, got to Hawes and parked up in a "car" park...out of the 10 bikes we probably took up 3 spaces...which isnt bad...anyway two other guys parked next to our bikes (not in our group btw) and this tossa in a car says "can you move those bikes i want to get out?"...sorry m8 but they arent with our group....."i dont give a shit just move those bikes they're blocking the road"...by this time i'd lost my normally "cool" exterior...just shut the F**k up and get back in ya car you tossa, then the cheeky bast*rd turned around and said "people like you make me sick, you think you own the roads".. didnt…

.....to my new Yam! 8) The Divvy is no more....it's been replaced by an XT 600. Here's the deails: 2003....11 months old, so 13 months Yamaha warranty remaining. 1,600 miles. Predator stainless steel road legal complete system. Excellent nick....just needs a real good polish. Cost? I had to pay £1K on top of the Divvy....but bearing in mind that the Divvy only stood me £1700, then the XT effectively cost £2700. Which isn't bad for what is basically a new bike. Rode it the 90 miles home from the dealers, and first impressions are that it's the easiest bike to ride that I've ever been on. Not a great deal of power, but on the country roads in Mid…

If you want a shaft drive bike today, there's hardly any choice at all....apart from a load of ugly Beemers! FJR or Pan....that's basically it (don't mention the Wing or the Dullville) since the demise of the Divvy 9/GT750. 30 years ago I thought just about everything would have gone to shaft by now. I know it's extra weight etc...but it's just so easy and clean, and no large bills for sprockets and chains. I reckon shaft drive is very underated, and tbh it's probably unfashionable, but I'd never want to go back to a bike with a chain. What about you lot....any experience of Shaft Drives?

We all spend ages cleaning our pride and joy so it looks great when we go for a raz on the twisties . Only trouble is that when we get back it's covered in dust, dead flies, mud and all sorts of crap! When all the hard work is done, and she's gleaming like a good un, spray WD40 on almost everything, then polish it up with an old cloth!! Might sound backward but it acheives several things; 1 - you'll be surprised just how much more crap comes off! 2 - it lubricates all those bits you couldn't reach or forgot! 3 - it repels water so keeps the electics happy and rust at bay. 4 - it leaves a thin protective film, so when you get back and have to clean …

I am the proud owner of a 2003 R6 in Silver and Matt Black. It has been brought to my attention that the standard pipe is shite, therefore I need to look at an alternative. I was hoping for some suggestions from the Yam Club members who have taken the same advice and changed their's. I only want an end can not a full system. What do ya think is best for the 2003 R6?
