  1. I thought this was the Yamaha owners club, not the Tractors owners club (now where did i put those keys to my massey ferguson???).
  2. I'm not gonna get me hopes up (nor should anyone else for that matter ). But there ya go!
  3. niiick. No wonder Richard Brunstrom has it in for moyorcyclists in Wales!!! Idiots like YOU make him right in all his campaigns against us. But then again as a person who has a 'Diploma in motor VEHICLE mechanics' and not in MOTORCYCLE mechanics, you wouldn't know about the problem the dt125's have with the caliper carriers.
  4. HMMN??? But isn't 32mph over the the legal speed limit in this country?????? OR have I missed something! (like common sense. lol).
  5. welcome to the forum mate. check the wire from the sender unit is connected under the tank otherwise it's the sender unit has siezed inside the tank & needs to be replaced.
  6. Well done steve, i teach motorcycle mechanics at a couple of youth projects in & around London & what you have done so far is quite impressive mate. Good for you! When it comes to buying off fleabay you need to know when (at any winning bid) to say 'Bollox mate!' & not pay. This comes under their ruling of 'not fit for purpose' . which means you can report the seller to e-bay's customer service bits & pieces (not that they do anything about it but it gets you out of buying a heap of sh1t). When it comes to buying, if it don't start or there ain't a log book (V5), either knock the price down or tell them F@@K off, coz they wouldn't sell it otherwise.
  7. We also have 'saddle soap' here as well. also a similar product is dubbing, if the leather item u'r talking about is hardened/shrunk, then smother it & leave it a few days (for the soap/dubbing) to soak into the leather, then smother it again & leave until it don't want feeding anymore. then whats left on the surface should buff into the leather nicely & it should be nice & maliable to fit to whoever wears it. Hope this helps (I've done this in the past & still my leathers, after years of abuse, still fit nicely, despite being a over weight type person.Lol).

    Damn bikes!!

check the fuel feed pipes, if there's so much as a pinprick of a hole then you won't see the leak until it's running (or in the case of fuel pumps, until the pipes under pressure). also check the ends of the pipes for tightness & cracking (due to the rubber hardening). the usual places for mysterious fuel leaks in my experience (usually found after carb strip downs, lol).
  10. muslim scumbags insulting the very people that PROTECT the FREEDOM that allows these arsewipes to do what they're allowed to do in THIS country. IF they don't like it send them back to their country of origin to do the same!!! Oh yea that's right, they wouldn't be allowed to demonstrate in their own country & would be shot for doing so. F@@KING HYPOCRITES!!!!

    What's blue & yellow & has a tight c#nt attached to it?? A Lidl's bag.
  12. Try 'Electrex' they specialise in all things electric, I've heard they can overhaul or do exchange items at reasonable prices. heres the link
  13. could be the size of your wheels. If standard it should be ok, but then again check that the speedo's not off another model (XJ,FZ, etc) the size of the wheel & speedo drive makes a difference, i think (or am i 2 pissed, lol).
  14. You can bastardise something to fit, but for your pockets sakes (at the best of times) keep with the original replacements. From experience it works out cheaper mate. Apart from that have you checked the windings on the bit that the brushes go onto? Get a copy of 'Motorcycle electrical techbook' by Haynes. Can let you know a decent bit about the old Lecky bits. Hope this helps.
  15. Do what you've gotta do ( i do), if it's in your heart you'll do it anyways & as a few of my Belfast friends would say 'F@£k the begrudger's'!

You sure that's not amore-all! Oops sorry I digress (it's the thighs, lol), personaly i use 'Dales black dubbin on my riding leather's & clear dubbin on the other colours. Good stuff.
  17. OBG hello mate, if you have pod filters you may have to up grade the idle jets by 0.05 or 0.10 to get this bike working properly, depends on the exhaust that you have fitted.
  18. Try cutting your throat with an angle grinder!! Quarter of an inch & I wouldn't be here. 76 stitches inside my neck & 32 (thankfully) along my jaw line. But hey, i'm still here 2 annoy if that's what it take!! LOL!
  19. Sound familiar??? My first (not so loving) wife said exactly the same thing, then asked me to make a choice between her & the bike! Eeeeerrrmmmm!!!!!!! The second got custody of it! Damn why can't i find the right kind of woman????
  20. Try Gumtree.com or Loot, they have sites that are area specific & are free to advertise on.
