I have done it this time...grrrrr...I was attempting to jet my 88 yamaha fz600....one of the steps was to drill the slide hole a little bit large with a provided drill bit.....well...I didnt see that there was more than one bit in the package....you guessed it....I used the bigger size.... How will this affect my carbs?...I am assuming that I will need to replace the vacuum slide (slide diaphram)..with a stock one...and drill the slide hole with the proper bit.... Thing is...I cant seem to find any of this parts or carbs on ebay....are there any other bikes out there that use this carb?...do you think I should be able to snag the vacuum slide off of it? Tha…

Looking for some help here: My local dealer has a sparkling almost-new R1 for sale at $6700. It a blue 2000 R1 has 950 miles. It has not been down. The previous owner never rode the bike; garage queen. My question is that I am a relative novice rider. I do plan to take riding/track lessons, AND I plan to ride on weekends VERY responsibly. Do you think: a) the 2000 R1 is a good model? this is good choice, or should I go with a R6? Thank you in advance, JOHN

Hi Guys Got a quick question on tyres for the 2004 R6, as Standard they come with D208 (special fittment), and recently I had to have some new ones fitted after a puncture, but the Yam Dealer hadn't got any 208's in, but said a set of Bridgestones 010's would be ok, However I've had them on the bike now and just can't get use to them. At slow speeds through corners they feel like they want to tuck under the bike and jack knife on me, and at higher speeds in corners they just don't want to turn quickly at all, and a lot of effort has to be used to get the things to countersteer. Naturally this is getting on my nerves and is making riding the bike very un-nerving, and…

Hi, I just picked up my new (to me) 87 FZ600 yesterday afternoon. There are a couple of things I've noticed and I figured I'd ask you guys for advice. First, the front brake lever goes all the way to the handlegrip. It does stop the bike when I roll it forward in the garage. But I assumed the lever would stop maybe half an inch before hitting the grip. The pads on boths front brakes are good, so it's not because the pads are worn out. Is it because I need to bleed the front brakes? If so, how do I do that? What else could be the problem? The previous owner did a nice thing for me and put a new rear tire on the bike for me. But I've noticed that it's a 130/…

Hi Guys, I've just bought myself a BT 1100 Bulldog, just love the design and the noise it makes. It'll sound even better when I put some race cans on though. Anyone else out there got one? Anyone know what the performance figures are? As I'm trying to run it in I haven't opened it up yet! Cheers Andy.

Hi peeps, this is my first post (as opposed to last !), so HI to everyone. I was wondering if anyone would know if the rear wheel from a FZR 1000 genesis, which is 18 inch, can easily be replaced with a 17 incher, from a Ace or something that allows 180 section tyres. I just want to give myself more choice with rubber as I fully intend to turn to track biking next year. I know a 998cc FZR isn't the tool of choice but I was hoping to get to embarace a few 'trackies' on a bike as old as they are !! Any constructive critisizm or advise greatly received. :hug

I guess we have all seen the R71's on TV but getting down to the nitty gritty, you can get a fresh R1 motor for not too much and an R6 quite reasonably. Not sure about R7's though.. How hard is it really going to be to make an R71 or an R61 ? Would the R6 be much weaker base for the 1 litre beastie than an R7 ? The inspiration for this comes from seeing a heap of cool R1's and such like, gotta have something a bit different next year.... J
