As we all know insurance time is just round the corner. (hopefully we will get no snow). Whether you are a fair weather rider or a hardcore winter winder i can try and help. I work for Yamaha Insurance Services, and whilst i open myself up for abuse I will try and help everyone out for a better insurance deal by calling me on 08700 747374. (ask For Ryan) We cover new and used Yams and i give my word if you quote my name and this website you will not be treated as a number.

....then you'll get screwed by the manufacturers. What am I talking about? Well I'm referring to manufacturer's pricing structures and dealer networks. Because Honda dealerships tend to be solus suppliers (no other brands), the pricing structures remain constant. You don't see rival dealers slashing huge amounts off machines, and you don't see Honda dramatically dropping prices on new models like Yamaha have just done with the FZ6, Kawasaki did with the Z750, and Suzuki did with the SV1000. A friend of mine paid £7K for a Burgman in August....they're now selling new for £5K. Your investment just won't hold any sort of value. But Honda move slow mod…

My R6, which I've owned less than 2 months, was nicked last night. Thankfully it was recovered, hidden behind a lockup with branches over it to camouflage it. These ned wammees need a good shoeing. They've bent a handlebar, damaged the steering lock (bike won't go lock to lock now - any ideas?) and ripped out wiring trying to hotwire it. They made it less than a kilometre and didn't even get the engine going but they've cost me over £100 in recovery fees and now I've got to get it repaired. Nyaaargh! Ah, I feel better now. Cheers!

Hi, I've recently got a Thundercat YZF. Lovely bike. Having spent winter riding it through the rain and muck to and from work, it's now making a noise/vibration that I suspect is the brake disks rubbing on the pads (the back caliper recently stuck but I managed to free it up). Can anyone recommend anywhere in Birmingham, UK area I can take it to get looked at? Thanks

Thinking of buying a new Fazer 1000 at the weekend, CMC have them for £5500 which seems a bit of a bargain compared to what else is available at the moment. They are offering me £3000 for my GSXR 600 k1, which isn't too bad considering the below list on the Fazer. I am changing the style of bike due to recent recurring lower back, neck and wrist grief - too many years of riding and falling off sports bikes ( and mountain bikes). So who has any comments - good or bad on this as a choice of bike for mixed riding - fast weekend blasts, occassional 700 mile weekend jaunts to Scotland, bit of commuting and maybe a week or so to France. Reccomended upgrades and manufact…
