The seat is not really improvement over staock but BEWARE!!!! If the easily removable backrest is stolen, Mustang WILL NOT sell you another backrest. You have to buy the entire $600+ seat just to replace a backrest or any other part. They are not even polite about telling you, "we sell seats, not parts." I wrote this warning to Cruiser Magazine and RoadBike Magazine. Art Freedman at Cruiser contacted Mustang and they lied to him, saying the backrest was available. Sorry, but the company does not tell the truth and, when you have been ripped off once by a thief, they rip you off again in your time of need. I will definitely never buy another Mustang product.

Hi I'm after as many close up pictures of a DT50M as i'm rebuilding one but it's been so many years my memory aint what it used to be (and I can't remember what it used to be) I could do with some close ups of where the front footpegs mount, a close up of the speedo and mounts, headlamp and mounts, infact the more info (written or pics) the better. I know that a lot of TY50 parts are interchangable but if anyone can tell me exactly what parts i'd be grateful You can email me on [email protected] Cheers Dave

Hi Everyone, Complete novice at this game not sure if i'm hitting all the correct buttons. Purchased my first sports bike last August (R6). i have owned a 600 Bandit, 600 fazer, Speed Tiple, Sprint st, and now the R6 over the last 7 years. Why it took me this length of time to buy a sports bike i not sure. What a revelation, it's light, handles like a dream and is plenty quick enough for the UK roads, (not sure about the stock Dunlops though, all the other bikes have been shod with Bridgestones)Waiting for the weather to improve, so that i can get out more with my mates for a blast on the west country roads.

Just couldn't stand it anymore....& had to get out on Sunday & enjoy this Killer weather we've been having .....especially before I started my new job today. Headed to my favorite stomping grounds....the Upper Clackamas river area. Stopped here @ the Carver Bridge boat launch.....which is a great place for swimming during the summer.... Then it was onto Springwater Rd. towards Estacada, where there's some great views of Mt.Hood... Being the time of year that it is......I had to ride around locked gates that closed off roads that are usually open later in the year..... something an XT is GREAT for ... This is a little day use area th…
