Did about 100 miles on the XT today.....some of the places you may have seen before though. The lakes at Castril.... I then crossed into the Jaen province across the Sierra de Cazorla, then back into Granada arriving at Lake Negratin near Zuhar. Then over to Baza and back towards Huescar through Cullar. I stopped off in Galera on the way back and took some shots of the cave district. So how is the weather in Britain at the moment?

I don't want to sound arrogant but I've noticed that more and more people are joining this forum and less and less are saying hello. I know it's a miserable time of the year for most bikers cos they have to look at their pride and joy rather than riding it but come on it doesn't hurt to remain polite with fellow bikers!

Minor rant coming on. I live in London, in a tower block, we have some lockup garages around the base of the block so i thought it would be nice if i could get one to keep my bike in. There is also a lady with a bike who lives nearby and i thought she would like to share garage when i sorted it out. (Helpful like that me) So i gets on to the local council who proclaim no vacant garages anywhere in the known universe, now i had done a little recce and found 7 empty ones all boarded up so i informed the fella that i had been talking with. A week later he gets back to me and says he has found the keys to 2 garages and as the council has the keys they must be empty. (Happy Ha…

A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment: To get their parent to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next day the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories. Ashley said, "My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg laying hens. One time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs got broken." "What's the morale of that story?" asked the teacher. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket!" "Very good," said the teacher. Next little Sarah raised her hand and said, "Our family are farmers too. But we raise chickens for the meat …

With temperatures around 15c and not a cloud in the sky....I decided to go and explore the Sierra De Castril natural park in the province of Granada, Spain! It starts about 30 miles from where I live, and once you get into the natural park itself, it's all dirt tracks and gravel around the network of lakes. I would estimate you could go for about 40 miles into it....and not see a soul. The views in the mountains are amazing! Then as I got further into the park I could see the lakes... Nice backdrop for the XT.... These seem to go for miles, breaking off into small rivers and streams... After about …

I have an idea and would like some feedback please. Like alot of you im sure i am and have been following various rallies - Dakar, North Africa etc, and the usual Bullrun, Gumball etc. The cost to participate is mind blowing to the average person. My idea is to hold a rally for bikes, covering a large portion of Western Europe, totally Un-official, proberly totally illegal, but all in the name of fun. Basic rules - No Sat Navs, maps only and all have the same. Destination only. No motorways, no toll roads only minor roads only and set for maybe a week or two, oh yes camping only! Just a group of fellow bikers with a mission - to set off at indivi…
