Milady Doom is having difficulty coming to terms with the rear seating position of the XJR. It seems the footrests are higher than the Divvy 900 we owned previously and this is causing her considerable discomfort in the knees. This is a cause of distress to both of us. I wonder if there exists an extender for the footrests to lower them and set them further forward. Or a replacement footrest hanger. Or anybody out there who would feel confident to fabricate such an item or knows somebody who would. Hello to all in this forum. I have just got back in the saddle after a 4yr break whilst my wife had our children, yesterday I purchased a 2005 YZF R6 which I cannot wait to get on the road. Do you think I should have refresher lesson before I get back on the road? I live in the West Midlands and would like to attend local meets or ride outs, any ideas? I look forward to your advise... .....I'm new, not only on here but to Yam's, 2 strokes and rebuilding/spannering, so go easy with me. Since buying a 1979 dt 175 mx as winter project last year things haven't moved on that well, down to the fact that just about every part on it was knackered, tonight I discovered the the loom and wiring is well past it's best and will probably need another, anyone know where I might get one? along with a bottom yoke, original exhaust and throttle cable/assembly - for starters. I have just about got R.S.I. of the finger trying to find Sliders or Crash (Fall) Protectors for an FZR 1000, they seem to exist for everything BUT !!.. Has anyone seen them ANYWHERE in the world, .. Its getting to the stage that I may pay some crafty guy person to actually make me up a set.. ANY help/Advice would be muchly 'preciated .. Ta. Kurnai..

Ladies and Gents firstly hello to everyone and thanks for having me!!!! Second hears by problem looking fro a first "proper bike" love the idea of a fazer... i was thinking of getting a fazer 600 but i've seen a nice 1000 offer.ed in better condition than the 600 i'd been looking at and ultimatly that what i'd like to own. Thinking save's loosing money to buying one to sell, to buy what i want insurance wise there is £12 in it so there is not much realavence in insurance costs. Do you guys think a fazer 1000 would be too much for a first ride??? alll input welcome even if its not what i want to hear!!! Thanks

Hi folks Not sure if anyone can help me , but i am purchasing an FZR thou Exup RU, 1991 on a J plate subject to her being HPI clear etc. I have the chassis number etc and just wanted to confirm that it's definitely a uk bike and not an import. Would anyone know what number and letters etc the uk bikes chassis numbers are so that i can confirm ? Had a gixxer 750Y that i sold last year due to personal reasons and now fancied something else, but not quite as dear. Will i notice much difference in power , handling etc. If anyone has an opinion of the RU i'd love to hear them, good or bad. Many thanks in advance. CD

im new to this forum obviously. But i have a 1993 Yamaha xj600s Seca II. i cant get any spark in the plugs. I have tested everything electrical on the bike and still come up short for an answer to why there is no spark. i have concluded that i think its the TCI box. But the only way to test one basically is to hook the TCI box up to a running bike and see if the running bike still gets spark. i need to find someone who has this bike in or around the Phoenix, AZ area so i can test my two TCI boxes and make sure there bad before i make an investment in a new box. after the whole 2 stroke issue i got back on the road tuesday nite and only to run over glass wednesday nite got the bike back with a new tyre tonight at 3.30 pm at 4 i fueled up and my key snapped in the fuel cap

HAVE JUST PICKED UP AN 07 PRE REGISTERED BIKE AND AM RUNNING IT IN. HAVE BEEN TOLD TO KEEP IT TO 6000 RPM BY DEALERS ALTHOUGH THE BOOK SAYS 8000 RPM FOR THE FIRST 600 MILES. ANY ADVICE/SUGGESTIONS WELCOMED.

Hi, I'm lance. live up near carlisle up north, 23, and own a 2007 r6, (well, getting a 2008 one next week!) Have had a few bikes, from a little DT50, then a suzuki dr350 through to a Fzs fazer 600, a cbr 600, and the latest is my r6. By far the best bike i've owned, much lighter and more agile than the older cbr. anyway just saying hi, no doubt speak to everyone in hear at some time! will be out in the summer too, normally hit hartside pass, if anyone else on here is ever out and about that way.

Is it advisable to use High Octane fuel on an R6 or stick with the standard unleaded?

I'm 41 live in blackpool and ride my 535 virago when ever I can , Alls well in Blackpool, been out on my baby today and shes running sweet, went out with the misses for dinner and she well happy now that our baby is running again, means we can go out next wkend to a rally , I'm going down to Oxford tomorrow on her to lay flowers for my mum as its been 7years ,so I will look in when i get back, hope all that was out today on what ever machine you own had a safe journey ,girlfriends got her driving test tomorrow told her that if she passes that I will buy her a bike and put her in for her bike test,so please all of you out there send her some good luck messages b…

Has anyone used Scottoiler FS 365 Protector? Is it as good as it says? How often has it got to be applied? I use my bike everyday no matter what the weather. Any info will be very much appreciated.
