Hiya, Apologies to everyone, I've just been informed by Paul that the PM system is down. I'm currently looking into it now and should have it back up within the next few hours.

Went to collect the rebuilt XR lower-end from my mate's on Friday night.....was enjoying a beer & a good chat session with him in his shop.... & then he brought up the fact that a mutual friend (who recently moved due to being damn near homeless & jobless for awhile & then finally scoring a decent job looking after a Water treatment facility up in the Columbia River gorge (Beautiful place!)... was having a Helluva time coming up with enough cash to get himself a bike again after being bikeless for over 6years.... This friend is alot like me in the fact that him being around bikes all his life & going crazy not being back on 2-Wheels soon.... W…

THE TAXMAN COMETH At the end of the tax year, the Tax Office sent an inspector to audit the books of a Synagogue. While he was checking the books he turned to the Rabbi and said, 'I notice you buy a lot of candles. What do you do with the candle drippings?' 'Good question,' noted the Rabbi. 'We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now and then they send us a free box of candles.' 'Oh,' replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer. But on he went, in his obnoxious way: 'What about all these bread-wafer purchases? What do you do with the crumbs?' 'Ah, yes,' replied the Rabbi, reali…

I just picked up a complete 1974 YZ 125, for $300, and it runs! Its in Pretty Good Shape, most all parts useable. Im having a hard time finding info on it, and parts. I need a gasket kit, and so far only bike bandit sells gaskets, and their individual (around $5-$10 EACH) which will get expensive real quick. I would like to find just pictures, so far ive only found a red/silver one, and mine is yellow. Any help would be much appreciated.

Just joined, I haven't even got the Yam yet, pick it up Thursday. A 97 diversion 900. I will probably have some questions then. I do my own maintainance, so will probably need some advice for a while. Bit of a departure for me, first 4 cylinder bike I have had for 30 years. Been riding a long time. It is all touring and doing bike rallies. My other bike is a 2001 Guzzi Jackal, I have had from new.

After reading a thread on here and thinking about it, i have decided to tour East Anglia on a small bike . Why use a small bike i hear you say? well because it`s a challenge and a lot cheaper than using my ZXR and i dont trust my XS400 yet plus i am unemployed so i need to keep costs down. i have been reading up on this and some people have done some impressive tours on little bikes, like Lands End to John O`Groats or to spain and back!! I am going to start off small, ie 100 mile overnighters and see how it goes? if things go well i will then start to branch out into bigger tours that are further away from my home. i`ve been looking for weeks for a …

Ok so some of you guys know that I own a xs400 and I bought new tires for it. I was trying to find the lowest price and shopped around. Certain places asked 30 for each tire balance and mounting and installing bearings bushings etc in the wheel would cost me 60 per tire and plus the rear bearings would cost me 190 not including tax. Berts megmall beat that by 10 dollars. Now I sent the wheels at 01/07/2010 since I have seen my wheels and its going to cost me 210 dollar total because the front took them a lot "more time than expected" which amounted of 90 dollars. Now it is 01/23/10 and its still in the shop! They also found that the front bearing dust seal I gave them was…

Tired of constantly being broke & stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife with himself as the beneficiary, and then arranging to have her killed. A 'friend of a friend' put him in touch with a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of 'Artie..' Artie then explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out a spouse was £5,000... The husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn't have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money. Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the m…

Hi, I'm new to this forum.. I don't where to put this topic so I just post it here. I have a yamaha jupiter z. Its a single cylinder, 4 stroke moped with 110cc at stock. But I have tuned it a little. I bored up the cylinder block to 167cc and change the cylinder head squish with bigger valve. Now I have a problem on the camshaft tuning. The cam profile before was 70-50/80-60. While using this cam, my motorcycle didn't have power after 6000 or 7000 RPM (I don't know for sure because there was no tachometer in this motorcycle) Then I reshaped it into 70-50/70-60. The power around 6000 or 7000 rpm is better but still don't have enough power to reach 8000 RPM. Do anyone h…
