  1. Started by Mario V,

Hello all, First of all I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Mario is the name and I am a proud owner of an 2008 MT-03. This is my first "large" bike and my bike before that was an Yamaha XT125 which got stolen unfortunately. I love riding but with lovely weather lately I was unable to take the bike for a spin for long time. Of course my battery died and after hours of frustration as the battery is under the petrol tank I got the bike working last night. I had a big smile on my face riding it for 30 minutes although some issues did appear: 1. Burning smell (I presume is safe but you never know) 2. My Oxford heated grips switched on and then died and t…

Irish Virginity Test Kit Paddy was planning to get married and asked his doctor how he could tellif his bride is a virgin. The doctor said, 'Well, you need three things from a Do It Yourself shop. A can of red paint, a can of blue paint... And a shovel.' Paddy asked, 'And what do I do with these, doc?' The doc replied, 'Before the wedding night, you paint one of your ballsredand the other ball blue. If she says, "That's the strangest pair of balls I ever saw", you hit herwith the shovel.' __________________

I've just got back from 2 weeks in Eygpt and apart from the Choggie 125's/250's the most popular bike was the Jawa 350 twin so I guess if we lived there we would be taking the pee out of Jap bikes

Hi all just got my first bike and was looking forward to a days riding. Only one probelem, got to dealers this morning only to find the tax disc hadn't arrive from their other place. They told me its will be OK to ride as if you get stopped the Police can see on their ANPR syetem that the bike's insured and taxed and tell them it's in the post to my house. Just got home to find its not here either, so question is can I ride without the disc on display? Thanks Colin

  10. I have a new R1 (2009) with crossplane - love it - what a machine. However when I start her up she has developed a rattle or series of knocks (guess between 2 and 5 rattles before she settles down)and it is getting worse (slightly). Looks to me like there might be problem in the design/lubrication system. The noise is a dry running 'tappety' sound - like a marble rattling at extreme speed. Anyone know anything about this. We've all been looking for it - a new release normally means the first owners are the trial guinea pigs - anyone else got the same problem? I have found one other mention on a US site: http://forum.motorcycle-usa.com/default.aspx?f=18&m=…

A SENIOR MOMENT - An elderly lady actually wrote this letter to her bank. The bank manager thought it amusing enough to have it published in The Times. Dear Sir am writing to thank you for bouncing my cheque with which I endeavoured to pay my plumber last month. By my calculations three 'nanoseconds' must have elapsed between his presenting the cheque and the arrival in my account of the funds needed to honour it. I refer of course to the automatic monthly deposit of my Pension arrangement which admittedly has been in place for only thirty eight years. You are to be commended for seizing that brief window of opportunity and also for debiting my account £30 by way …
