Spark90 Posted May 7, 2012 Share Posted May 7, 2012 Previously had a few bikes nicked so thought ide ask some advice bout security on a little DT125r, im thinking over night locked up with screaming alarm and chained to a wall mount. not too sure tho what brands to go for or any places to get a decent deal. brought a Xena screaming alarm prevously, but turned out to be a bit crap as one night some **** picked the bike up and walked off with it presumably. it was also chained with a squire chain, only a cheapish one but found that with a link cut. any ideas would be much appretiatedQQ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The ground anchor is very sturdy and when the chain is running through it, it covers the screws up. Placement and immovabilty can be an issue though as it sticks out and doesnt move. No problems with the chain, which i only use at home. But a determined thief could cut through it if they realllllly wanted to. Theres some videos from a chain brand on youtube which shows each brand of chain being cut with a pair of bolt cutters, but i find it obviously biased to their own product. The disclock is useful as it fits in a pocket easily and seems quite tough. It can be abit erm....tempermental when it wants to be, but its very loud. Some look reasonably priced and others expensive but if they do what they reckon it seems really worth it.
