    Oh dear Simon, GWS fella
  4. It's not difficult, you'll probably see the rust particles when you unscrew the float valve seat if theres any there, compressed air would blow it out, if you don't have access to compressed air you could possibly attach a tube to the fuel spigot and blow down that if there is rust there?
  5. You said the tank was rusty, there may be rust between the fuel inlet stub and the float valve seat which will cause havoc!
  6. if your lucky your bearing will be good and your seal will just be worn or hardened, if you think your bearing is good and you cannot see any movement in the crankshaft, go for it, it's save some work but if it doesn't work you'll have to delve deeper....this is what you want hear eh
  7. Try a new set of sparkplugs Rish? whoops, you did! How about try draining the carb bowls in case theres water in them, any chance of that?
  8. let us know how you get on with it Colm
  9. That looks nice, hoe it is close up too
  10. How about you put a star washer behind the nut?
  11. That looks nice Kevin but not sure why fuel would leak through the exhaust port, being a 2 stroke it would fill up the crank case too, anyway you can switch it off can't you?
  12. What about measuring the piston at the skirt?
  13. aghh no if the engine runs then the cylinders wont be flooded and as you say you already cleaned the pilot jet I'd check the fuel flow to the carb, but you'd have to suck on the vacuum line somehow to do that if it has one?
  14. You getting that free pdf version then?
  15. When you push the bike in gear the engine should turn over, yes of course
  16. Double post, the other is in the 'workshop' section
  17. Take the spark plugs out, are they wet? Whith the plugs out and the ignition OFF, select 4th gear, will the engine turn over when you push the bike? What I'm getting at here is to check whether your cylinders have filled with fuel?
  18. nice to hear from you Numan
