There are drop off points all up the road in the background. That is the only bike bay on that campus. There are no dedicated bike bays at the other campus. The yellow hash marks are for access to a Cryo point (Liquid gas directly piped in so no bottles) and they park there too which causes the tankers a regular big issue. I always call security and get them moved if they are staff. I park my bike behind them quite often to block them in and leave a sarky note on the cars. The area has full CCTV so any damage to my bike would be recorded. I have a staff car parking permit - that I have to pay for by the way - so I park the car in one of the allocated car parks.

Yes. You just need to make sure the width of the new tyre doesn't foul anything - swingarm and chain on the rear and forks speedo etc on the front. It the front has a 21 inch wheel then you might want to drop the rim size on the rear by the same or lower the rear by 2 inches some other way. Last time I had rims and spokes fitted it cost a little over £500 the pair including tyres, tubes. bearings and seals. That was stainless rims and spokes. They are still very shiny.

Take it back to the shop and get a full refund. If it doesn't start now, what are you going to do during the winter and in a couple of years? A bike that does not start is not fit for purpose.

I know I did a few things different this year and the loose wire stopping the RD but I didn't really enjoy the ambiance this year. It seemed that there was just no organisation from Squires themselves. My jury is out at the moment.

Bikes can have different ways of starting. Some like throttle and some don't If the bike is fuel injection just turn the key and push the starter.

I don't think that is quite true, in my experience. The XT660 is known to have surge issues with an airbox mod and power commander being the most popular ways to reduce surging, last time I looked.

Got to agree with Preload, a little dark but don't look too bad. That gap looks quite big though - that said I don't know what the gap size should be.

Gearboxes need a few thousand miles before they improve - unless it's a Honda and they are always clunky. The bike should not need to go anywhere near an optimiser at a month old. I have had my latest bike since January and it has not been plugged in to an optimiser. I haven't even put the optimiser lead on to the battery yet.

Make a list of all the faults, hand it to them, and tell them you want them all fixed before you pick it up. Don't worry about the warranty, the Sale of goods act says you can and if they don't fix them then you can reject the bike for a full refund.
