Just fitted R&G heated grips from Amazon £36.00. They seem to work very well once warmed up which takes a couple of mins, I managed to wire them to the ignition so I don't have to worry about leaving them on. It was a bit tricky getting all the wiring to fit behind the headlight and connectors are a bit chunky but got it all in eventually and everything works, only took just over an hour to fit and was pretty straight forward I'll post some feedback on how good/bad I think they are after Iv'e used the a few times.

Just like to recommend David at QMS B1 Lake Street Nottingham NG7 4BT 0115 9787828 He replaced the drive belt, rollers, and spark plug on my old scooter for £30 labour.Had a call from him to say scooter ready for collection less that 2 hours after dropping it off. He also recently carried out the 3rd service on my granddaughters scooter for less than half the supplying dealers quote. Genuine bloke who cares as much about your scooter as you do. P.s he also offers a recovery service. Scooters are only a tiny percentage of David's business he is predominantly motorcycle's Cheers

From the experts: "The Yamaha SR400 has stood the test of time like no other model." “We decided to import the SR 400 in small quantities, based on the demand from tuners and special customers" says Product Planning manager Oliver Grill. Oliver expects the bike to remain exclusive. “The bike is of course not cheap with low production quantities, high-quality parts and production in Japan." Total Motorcycle "The 2015 Yamaha SR400...re-introduces a motorcycle that originally debuted in the U.S. in 1978. Not much beyond the addition of fuel injection has changed with the 399cc motorcycle, making this more like a classic reissue than a modern bike masquerading as old iron."…

The 2015 SR400 is virtually the same bike as the SR500 which was sold in the U.S from 1978-1981. The SR500 was discontinued in 1999 but the SR400 has been sold (only in Japan) since 1978. t didn't take very long after stumbling upon the news of the bke's upcoming availability in the U.S. for me to decide to buy one, and after one look I felt it was well worth its $5990 price tag. Vintage SR500s have increased in value $1000 above their original MSRP, unlike most multi-cylinder bikes of the era worth half as much. I picked up my new bike June 25th 2014 from the same salesman that sold me a new 1979 SR500. We were in our twenties then..Scott is 60 now and I turn 55 next mon…

62 years old, never even sat on a sports bike, let alone been near a race track. Own a cruiser and a mid 80s road bike. Just wanted to have a go though, before senility well and truly kicks in, so started to drop enough hints prior to last Christmas, when the usual "what would you like for Christmas" questions are in the air. Lo and behold, the Good Lord provideth the Premier Course, and I duly turned up a couple of weeks ago at Donington Park, to hoon round on someone elses bike. In reality, its not like that. From first signing on, to walking out at the end, I cant recollect in my life coming across such a well organised, slick, smooth, professional, and cou…

Been noticing a slight hesitinacy on throttle response when winding on full, and from take off from standstill, on the YX600, since the intermittent electrical problem was cured some weeks ago. As part of the fault finding process for the electrical problem, I had the carbs off. Rather than have them off again, I thought id best check first that the carbs are balanced properly, as that may save further investigative work, and expense. Had a quick check of feedback for the Carbtune balancer, seemed positive, and reasonably priced, so purchased one, the 4 cylinder version. Instructions read through, easy enough to understand, all parts and attachments included to d…

Well, was away at the weekend with my local bike club, Moray Coast Motorcycle Club - and had a really good time! we stayed in one of the three lodges at the Rothiemurcos Lodge, http://www.rothiemurchus.co.uk/ Location - about 7 miles out of Aviemore, About 15 quid for a taxi into aviemore and right next to all the outdoor stuff. The track to get up to the lodge, about 2 miles, is a really rough dirt track with loadsa pot holes, we all had cars and had to take it pretty slow but one of the guys had his zx6r and never found it a problem as he could just ride round them. Facilities - we stayed in the Nuffield lodge, but there info is here for the other two aswes…

Hi, I know it's been a while but didn't I was supposed to post it here From a bikers point of view, If you think you know Scotland and you’ve been there done that & bought the T-shirt, believe me you ain’t seen nothing yet! I have been visiting Scotland since the early 80s and this was a whole new experience for me. Motoscotland, what can I say! What a Fantastic couple of days. Before you even arrive its brilliant, the route from Loch Lomond to Inveraray and its surrounding area is, in my opinion, some of best motorcycle routes in the UK. I found Clive & his Team to be very welcoming, friendly and professional .The whole setup is very well organised and the…

Spada Enforcer Gloves Black Around £59.99 (also available in high vis) After riding around using motocross gloves since getting on the road I finally got round to getting some decent motorbike gloves especially as it's winter. Obviously motocross gloves are not waterproof and offer no protection at all. After trying a few pairs of different brands of gloves on in the shop I settled for a pair of Spada Enforcers. The main reason I bought them was that they fit me really well and were very comfortable. Because everyone is an individual they might not fit the next person as well as me. The gloves offer a good amount of protection. The knuckles (main & lower) …

Heya, I felt like contributing something to the forum, so here's a quick bit on my findings in the last two or three weeks of being brand new and completely unfamiliar with the FJ1200. I'm not a professional writer or anything, this is just my thoughts thus far. Hopefully readers will find it useful and/or entertaining! First a bit of my riding background... I'm probably not what you'd call a typical Cruiser guy. I have neither beard nor bandanna and do not belong to a Club or MC. Neither do I only ride on sunny weekends, when I have time off from a boring accountant's job. I ride every day in all weathers, whenever the road is free of ice and snow (although I've …

Hi all, I had these goggles bought for me as a gift from the loving missus last year, she got them on a trip to Vegas for me... I hadn't even heard of them until then, but you can get them here (probably cheaper than she got them bless her)... http://www.liquidimageco.com/products/model-367-impact-series-hd1080p I have them in black, with the clear lens and tear off lenses. I would highly recommend these goggles to anyone to use for recording their daily ride for safety and insurance purposes, or for anyone who wants to take them out and abuse them... like I do... The picture and sound quality from them is amazing, as good as any Go-Pro video I've seen…

Well for £7.99 these are not snap on quality but Christ they are good! Nice feeling in your hands and don't feel stupidly brittle and sure they could take some abuse. You get 2 big, 2 medium 2 small and 2 stumpy. Plus 6 watch / glasses drivers and a big chunky One with about 20 different bits to go on the end along with a bendy extension bar.

I'm posting this review because prior to purchasing a set of CST Adrenos for my Fazer, I googled for a review but the results were a bit patchy. CST Adreno Tyres - A review by pilninggas I ride quite a few miles a year; i don't go to work on my bike (very often), as I work only 5-10 minutes from home, so I have not tested the tyres as a commuter. I do however do respectable day rides (100-400miles), I do ride in adverse conditions and I do some respectable European touring. Personally I think motorcycle tyre pricing is the result of some collusion by manufacturers. I've no doubt that the tyre makers invest in R&D, but I think they extract-the-piddle with…

I've had this Lift now for over 12 months, and I'm well pleased with it. No more lying down trying to look upwards, I can sit at the side or stand up straight to work on the bikes. Platform lifts to 780mm with the foot hydraulic pump, can be locked in place by using the bar which locates through the frame both sides and prevents dropping. Lowering is smooth and can be controlled by varying foot pressure on the lowering pedal, this is also adjustable by a flow control regulator on the cylinder. Comes on castors so can be moved easily, with jacking feet to raise the castors of the floor once in place. Includes a front wheel clamp, and a removable floor section at the re…

I needed to get some summer gear because my winter gloves and jacket (even with the lining out) felt like I was going to melt every time I came to a stop. Spada Vortex Pro Gloves (£60) These gloves made a big difference, I could actually feel my fingers. I'm even considering using them throughout the year because I've always hated the bulky winter gloves. It fits pretty tight and the the cuff is just the right size to tuck my jacket into. I could actually fill my tank up without taking them off, albeit some skill is needed. Spada Air Pro Textile Jacket (£109) I should have bought this sooner. My old jacket had air vents which were great but with …
