  1. {{if $formValue}} {$value} {{endif}} Ease of Use: The Kettenmax Premium is so user-friendly, you might mistake it for your new best friend. The instructions are clearer than the sky on a perfect riding day, making assembly easier than finding an excuse to hit the open road. However, don't be fooled into thinking this is a one-handed, "look ma, no hands!" operation. The chain cleaner has a tendency to dance around during use, requiring you to steady it with one hand while wielding your cleaning solution like a master swordsman with the other. A minor inconvenience, but it's all part of the bonding experience with your beloved two-wheeled steed. Premium Features…

I’m really happy with my AGV Compact it’s by far the best helmet I’ve ever owned which isn’t saying a lot as apart my first helmet back in the eighties I’ve got by with budget helmets, anyway I’ve been looking for a new helmet for my son as I’m taking him to IOM for classic TT and can’t bring myself to stick a Cheepo lid on him and also he’s same size as me which means I get another lid after IOM. So after a bit of research (google) I decided on a Scorpion Exo 510, first impressions it looks really well made the amount of features it has compared to anything else in it’s price range is really impressive it has inflatable cheek pads for the perfect fit also cheek pads com…

I bought myself a new helmet today. I have been running around with a ROOF Boxer for longer than I care to remember but it feels a bit worn out now. After looking around online for a while I settled on the BELL 5oo Custom open face. I am well aware that open face lids are not everyones cup of tea but I have worn them since 1981 and cannot get on with a full face lid. My Boxer was a flip front and I spent more time with the chin guard in the up position that I ended up removing it. Anyway to the review. J&S had this up for £150 allegedly down from £170 so within my price range and the look I wanted, I headed off to Glasgow today to try it on. First fit and th…

Its been a while since someone blew the dust of this section so here goes. The Bahco S106 socket set. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bahco-Socket-106-Piece-2-Inch-Drive/dp/B000Y8OFI6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526569717&sr=8-1&keywords=tools+bahco Got mine from Amazon, oh lovely, 3/4 and 1/4 inch drive ratchets with all the silly sizes like 15,16 and 18mm, the 1/4 drive are deep and normal. Some funky bendy jobs I haven't used yet. Full set of well fitting combo spanners. Plenty of extensions etc. Whole raft of posidrive and torx bits in a decent case with proper hinges so the halves wont separate and nothing moves in the box. Used…

Prompted by Blackhat I’ve penned this short review of my MT-125. A few caveats first off. I’ve only been on two wheels since April of this year and only licenced since late July therefore assume I know nothing (my wife will happily confirm your assumption). My reason for getting another 125 (I sold my original YBR125 for a Foxeye Fazer) was that following a flare up of an old back injury I’ve found it very difficult to cope with the weight of the Fazer. The strength in my legs is apt to fail with little warning and has on two occasions led to me dropping the big bike whilst manoeuvring it off my property. Not good for the confidence. So I wanted something lighter but did…

  9. I own for few years some summer undersuits crivit and another brand, I buy them from LIDL and other one from aldi, I fugure ouit they can`t be very good one of the being they are cheap( £12 tousers and £12 the top part) I wear them in romania where was very hot and they do a very good job but at 40-41 C degree still have problem even with those. so, this year i`m going back in romania and I decide to give a go to this, not a cheap thing, coming from alpinestar, £124. I had the chance to test them when was 31C degree here in leeds, both of them, crivit and alpinestar in the same temperature so I can corectlly judge the products. all I can say is: WOW, what …

Some time ago I brought some saddle bags for my bike, unfortunately I cocked up the order and forgot to include the support bars in the order. The only place I could find them in stock was bill smith and the 5-6 days delivery they quoted was fine. I waited and nothing, I emailed them and nothing, 8 days went by and nothing, finally today I got an email to say my order has been shipped. WTF how can it take 8 days to pick an item off the shelf and stick it in the post. FKW if I'll get these before I go away. I've done a lot of online shopping and this is the slowest delivery by far. Rant over

I had enough time to test my new helmet so I come to blabla a bit about this: is a flip up helmet that was builded for sport bikes. the reason I buy this helmet is because they say is a quiet helmet so, I compare this helmet with my old HJC helmets, one full face, one flip up. I remove the windshield and take short rides with all 3 helmets. the noise difference is HUGE. at 85 m/h with the C3 Pro, no earplugs I have something like half of the noises I get with other 2 helmets at 45 m/h with earplugs. mechanically is like you compare a kenwood deck (c3pro) with a double radio cassette made in china (HJC RPH MAX). the sun visor is easier to work with it (short course …

  12. The 2017 Yamaha YZF R6 specs are out. I really liked the upgrades and modifications. However, I don't really like the similarity with the R1 model. I wish they could have invested more with the design.

On 05 March this year I purchased a Rev It! Poseidon Gortex Suit, costing close to £1,000, including a back and hip protectors (not included in the price of jacket/trousers).Note: Prices have increased since I purchased the suit to £599.99 for the jacket and £439.99 for the trousers, excluding any back armour or hip armour.Normally this is far more than I would spend on a suit however I commute daily by motorcycle and my previous waterproof suit finally gave up this year on a commute down the M1 to Sheffield, leaving me arriving at work pretty wet. My previous suit (a Hein Gericke Sheltec) cost around £350 in total and lasted 6 years, so I was looking for a replacement of…

  16. Started by Malleus,

I went to this Yamaha Service Centre May this year as a number of people had recommended it and apparently it has been around for a while. Dropped my bike off at 8:30am. Staff were nice, helpful and rushed my bike through the service (at my request, hate getting trains!) and picked it up at 5pm. After about 5 minutes I noticed the front end was bouncing quite a bit. I assumed this was due to the rubber bits that stick out of new tyres, until common sense kicked in and I realised tiny bits of rubber would not make my front end bounce. I stood up and looked at my front wheel (when it was safe of course) and noticed that it appeared to be bulging. When I finally got home I …

For those of you that live down south, The Wyvern 75 Aldershot Road, Church Crookham, GU52 8JY is well worth a visit. The land lord Bob is a biker and will give you a 20% discount if you produce your bikers voucher ( a skid lid) the staff are freindly and the food is good. A local bike group that I belong to meet there every Thursday. He laid on a BBQ yesterday for our groups 1st birthday and told me he made a few phone calls to pull in a few favers to arrange the brilliant weather we had, the best BBQ food I've ever had and lots of it to, cracking afternoon.

Being a cheap Scotsman, and also in the planning stages of selling my ickle YBR, I decided that I wasn't going to shell out a crap load for washing my bike, (: So, nipped over to Halfords, and got myself some WD40 Total Wash. It's a spray bottle, and piss easy to use. Coated the bike, waited a few minutes, sponged a few areas that were particularly grotty, then dumped a bucket of water over the bike. It's sparkly clean now. Now, just to apply a touch more ACF in certain areas that are beginning to show a touch of corrosion... [unrelated to cleaning] Cheap Bastard seal of approval!

As my 14 plate Yamaha 250 X Max is the newest thing I have ever owned I decided to look after her properly as she is main and prefered means of transport. I had read several reviews of protecting your bike from corrosion and winter usage and went with Halo treatment from All Year Biker. Part of the treatment includes a liberal coating of AFC50 which is used in the aviation trade to prevent corrosion on planes and helicopter onboard aircraft carriers. Mark @ Derby was my nearest agent so I visited him and two and a half hours later was utterly amazed with the result. I thought she was clean upon collection from the dealers but Marks professional and passionate work left me…
