Hi I steamed straight in with a question and never introduced myself. Thanks for the feedback on the tyres btw. So I used to ride up until 12 years ago when I had a big off in the Isle of Wight. Used to be a bit of a scooter boy and folded my Vespa P200 into the drivers door of a VW Passat - his fault - and between that and moving around for work, I never got back on. Roll on the years and I'm finally back on two wheels again and loving it. Managed to pick up a 2003 125 Dragstar with 4500 miles on it for £1100 so was made up. Had her imported from Northern Ireland by a guy called Phil from Acceleration. If you ever need a bike shipped, this guy is spot on, I'l…

Hi New to the forum so go easy if its a dense question! I recently bought a 2003 XVS 125 and although in good condition elsewhere, there is quite distinct cracking in the tyre walls front and back. Any 125 Dragstar riders out there able to offer a suggestion of a good tyre to replace them. The Yamaha dealer has suggested steering clear of Continental? I don't really know much when it comes to tyres, but I commute 30 miles daily in all weathers and do longer distance over the weekends. Any suggestions??? Thanks. Dom

Hello my name is Graham. Just wanted to say hi and a little about myself. I've just joined after purchasing a DT 400B American import for restoration. As a child my family and I lived abroad and I had a ATC 90 Honda 3 wheel buggy , then a 1977 DT 100 and then a DT 125 and after that a Suzuki RM125C racing with the Dubai Dirt Donks for a couple of years . On our return to the UK I raced in school boy moto x 1st with a RM100N ,then back with my RM125C, then a Yamaha YZ125G and then a 125 Cagiva silver streak. When turned adult I had a season on a 490 Maico alpha , but unfortunately had to retire after my fathers funding stopped! I still rode as I used to borrow my …

Hiya guys and gals the names Mitch I'm in Gloucestershire. I'm 19 I’ve owned a ’97 Mitsubishi Colt 1.3, ’06 Suzuki EN125-2A, '95 Kawasaki BN125-A1 Eliminator, and my current steed is my '98 Yamaha XJ600N Diversion. I love it!! Got it for an excellent price and it's almost mint condition and it's only done 13k! as I'm only 19 it's had to be restricted to 47 bhp so I bought a kit off eBay and fitted it, it was surprisingly easy to take the seat, tank, air box and carb’s off to get to the carb rubbers which house the restrictor plates There's a few bits which need doing like a new front brake lever (Slightly bent), a front brake reservoir cap as the old one is a bit tatty, …

New to the site, so I wanted to stop in, say hello to everyone. So with that, hello to everyone! Never really been into bikes a whole lot, until recently, I'm more inclined to just watch TV or browse the web and play video games, duno what got me interested in bikes, but not going to question it, just haven't taken the plunge and bought one yet. I did recently see a (2001 year I think) DT125 R when I was browsing around online and loved the way it looks, so I've been looking around to see if they are even legal to import into the US, because I don't think they were ever sold here, at least I haven't seen one anywyay, not really into speed, so not worried about …

My name is Scott. (Save is my initials). Have had many bikes throughout life in a rainbow variety old and new. The last 5 years have leaned only to being interested in the vintage stuff. Just recently sold a pair of RD 350s. Too old to go too fast anymore anyway. Well only 45 but that's what my 11 yr old daughter tells me Current project. Just got a clean all stock 1974 DT 125. Having shift probs. 2nd & 3rd fine but nothing else. Haven't done enough tinkering with it yet to ask for help. So I'll look around here for some past experiences and check it out proper and go from there Just wanted to say hello and thx for any future input. Apologies for the long intro.…
