Hello everyone, I've had a R125 (second hand) last year and have just bought a MT 125. I loved the R125 although it sounded like a moped and had a problem to the gear box. I really hope the MT won't let me down :-)

Hi everyone, I went travelling in India a couple years ago and rented bikes multiple times, and despite the dubious condition of many of them, I have wanted to get a bike ever since I got back. Finally this summer I have had the money and time to buy a bike and fix it up. I got a 1981 SR250 in pretty good condition and have been learning to fix it up, which has been a lot of fun (and money). So far I've just opened up the engine and replaced a cracked valve and the gaskets, and am going to do some de-rusting and general cleaning up. I also have to get my motorbike licence... all in good time. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi picking up a XSR900 tomorrow after 15 months on a Triumph Tiger Sport 1050. Looking forward to it very much. Also own a 1994 Virago 535 which I'm 'renovating'! Had a few other Yams in the past, a DT175 MX, and a Vmax 1200 with aMoto Guzzi Breva 1100 and BMW RT1100 inbetween. Retired so I have a lot of riding time!

Hi all, I am the new and proud owner of a blue and yellow TZR 250 2MA on a 1988 plate. It's in pretty good original condition and I plan to make it good all round and take it for the occasional spin. I own a few other bikes but they are 4 strokes and fancied a 2 stroke to my collection. At the moment I have no spark going to the HT leads and was curious if anybody had a good idea what the issue is? I have the tank off and am easily able to get to the box which I'm assuming is the coil pack in which the leads connect to etc. I'm no qualified mechanic as you have probably guessed but want to make this my little project. Thanks for having me and I look forward to you …

Hello everyone, Wanted to stop by and introduced myself. Last year I decided to get my first motorcycle to avoid public transportation and generally transport myself around. Since I own a garage am not afraid of some tinkering I got the service and got down to work. Here I also wanted to introduce my little bike. Its a 97' SR 125. Regards, Maciej

Hi there - I like to go for the odd day-ride or a foray into Wales, maybe we can join forces? On good roads I like to cruise at 7k revs. 8k only if I get carried away... What's your style?

Hi All. New to to the forum so thought id post up my first thread. Have just picked up a 1997 Virago XV125 (pictured below) this is my first bike. Its been off the road in storage for around 3 years, hence it has a low milage of 3700miles on the clock. Its in overall good condition and just needs a bit of TLC. Prior to me collecing the bike im lead to beleive its had new plugs and the fuel swapped out. Ive heard it running and its appears to run fine. Am hoping to use this to get some experience on it prior to going in for my test. Im fairly handy with spanners so if it neds any work doing im pretty happy to look at most things. Chain looks a little r…

Hi from New Member in Florida with a 1980 Yamaha SR250G that I got in May with only 1700 miles & have gone through it to make sure everything is OK. Background is as an Aviation A&P Mechanic. Restoring my '83 BMW R65 Owned since New & wanted a Light Sport Bike for Local & Short Trips which the SR250 does well. Got a copy on eBay of August 1980 Cycle World 4 page Story which is well done. Good to be getting back Riding again after taking a really Great Riding Course. Online have also found some A1+ Training Articles on Facebook by a Professional Instructor as MCRider which Practiced will help us all be better Safer Riders.... BCNU John

Hi all, I've just bought a 2017 MT07, I've had bikes previous and really wanted the new R6 but as I have 0 NCB (I haven't rode in 3 years) insurance was coming back at 3k+! Hopefully I've made the right choice, a bit worried about power being low and considered a 16 MT09 but the size and throttle issues put me off a bit and what finished it was the tiny dash. I've asked for an alarm and tracker to be installed (which I think I've been charged wrongly for) and looking to get a disc lock and possibly a ground anchor for the garage. Just trying to get insurance as low as I can. Currently in Portugal in 43 degree heat so I pick it up on the 10th with a fu…

Hi all - just joined the site after having owned my FJ1200 for a year so thought I'd better become an official Yamaha member! I bought a 1989 clean FJ1200 from a local bloke who hardly used it - it's covered 22600 miles and runs like a watch (but a bit lumpy when cold - do they all do that??). Is there a way I can put pictures of my bike on here??
