Evening everyone, I was here but due to stuff I lapsed. Well I am back and I now have time to get to grips with my DT250. First of all I need to register the bike and then I can sort out all the legal stuff I need to do. I've had the bike for under a year, its been totally restored and was shipped from NYC a few years back. The guy I brought it off had 16 odd bikes and the DT never got a look in so he sold it to me. So here I am, please be gentle. Any hints or tips appreciated. Cheers saul.

Evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Tom and funnily enough I'm a ginger. I own, and have done since '08, a Yamaha MT03. By no means is it a standard example and those of you that were on the mtowners.org forum may have spoken to me before or seen the bike. I'm not sure if you like to see progress threads on how a project is getting on but I will be setting one up as I like to show people what can be done with knowledge and the right tools. I don't know everything and although I will try and help anyone out I will not enforce my theory's on to anyone. Unfortunately as the mtowners club has recently closed down I'll have to take some pictures…

She is 15 years old and runs like a dream. I'm looking at 'going her up' over the year and I'm sure I will plenty of questions that I hope you can help me with. Good to meet you James

Hi, I am new to this site and joined to try and get some help with my bike. I bought a 1300 XVS Custom (Stryker) in February. The bike rode well but sounded too polite. From videos on you tube i seen a few people has drilled holes into the end plates of the exhausts to improve the sound. However since doing this the bike runs erratically at low revs and stutters and shudders when turning throttle. Is this a simple tune up job for a Yamaha garage or is there anything else i need to do ??

Hello, so thankfull to find a knowledgeable forum for yamaha! As you can see i got a yamaha chappy lb80. First few months it was running great, Lately ive noticed a serious lack of power. Everyone ive spoken with says no bore kit exists, And to bore out the cylinder would be a custom and rather expensive job. Any advice for a newbie? Thanks!!

Hi, I've added an XJ900S Diversion to the garage and, after a bit of Googling, found the YOC. I've been looking for shaft drive bike for quite a while now to commute to work on, no real options out there apart from the Divvy and the Honda Deauville, and not that many in my price range. Finally found one yesterday and splashed the cash this morning on a 2000 model. Looking forward to riding it, looking after it and tinkering with it. Hopefully the Triumph Explorer won't get jealous and will share the love

Hi everyone, my name is Vladimir and I live in Scotland, Glasgow, as you can guess by my name I am not Scottish but lived here for a while now. I bought my Yamaha Thundercat (1999) with 20000miles on a clock 3 years ago (now almost 25k) as my 1st bike, the bike needed some TLC even though it had one owner before me for 13 years. Last year I did a full service on it myself, thanks to youtube help! Changed standard screen for a double babble and bought an aftermarket silencer/exhaust can. Also when bought I changed front fork seals as these were sweaty, changed rear subframe as it was really rusty and ugly, couple weeks ago I put new tyres (Michelin GT4)…

Hi everybody I've just swapped my Yamaha Wrx 125 for a older legend lol DTRE 125 2006 3000 genuine miles only ridden at weekends and when dry so bikes pretty clean . Bike rides good although I have noticed a rattle from cylinder head possible little end bearing I've been told by local motorbike shop .. I was concerned it would damage the piston but my local bike shop says they all rattle and it's nothing to worry about ..? Can anyone advise if this is the case please . Regards karl

hi all... thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Gollum, biker for many years, and currently own 3 Yam's (see topic title). I've arrived here in search of some bits, which were lost when the ex-wife and her boyfriend stole and sold (for scrap!) the majority of a pristine 1981 XS650 which was stripped down in the garage. I managed to track down most of the bits they took but the engine mounts had already been sold by the time my detective work led me to the scrapyard in question. so, if anyone can come to my aid, and point me in the right direction, I'll be in your debt Gollum

Hi all, I can't believe that Ive never visited here before, as I have a couple of Yamahas, well actually 11 altogether, so I'm often on the lookout for parts, advice, inspiration and ideas! I actually just bought my 11th last week; a 1999 TRX850. and it's actually the 2nd youngest that I have. Youngest is my 2008 MT01, and the oldest is my 1969 CT1. I didn't start out collecting Yamahas, but I suppose it started off with my first one, which I still have. A Cinnamon Brown TX650A built in 1974 but bought from a mate in 1981. Its a slow process of restoration which started many years ago, but it's still in peices... Next one I bought was in 2010, a 2008 FZ1N, …
