hi all, well time i introduced myself, i'm a 31 young man from just outside newcastle, just passed my first year on the roads on a bike. i first started off on a cheap pioneer cruiser i lasted 5 month before i git sick of it then sold it on. i then fancied trying a different bike so i bought a sachs xtc road bike, however three months into owning this bike some thieving b@$tards decided they would smash my garage doors and empty my garage im am due to buy my next bike and have really looked into it this time, where in the past i just bought the first thing i could find and liked the look of. i have decided 100% im going to but the xvs dragstar 125, i love the…

Hi, thought I would nip in and introduce myself. I have had my license for a few years but had to take a little break until I bought my XJ last year, I didn't get out on her much but this year I hope to make up for my little holiday. I am in the Portsmouth area (and still quite new) and not had the opportunity to explore (damn work such an inconvenience) so if anyone has got any ideas of places I absolutely must see or even just go because I can, I would love to hear them. Cheers Piggle

  8. Hi Guys & Girls, Just thought I would say hi and introduce myself. I have been riding bikes since I was 16, starting with a fizzer (Yamaha FSIE-DX), and over the years I have had various different types of bikes, including DT100, DT 175, X7, 350 YPVS, GS 850, ZX10, RD125, CX500, YZ 125 (road legal). And now I have a GPX 750R which I have had for about 13 years now. Although, by today’s standards it not very quick, I don’t get any problems keeping up with most people on the road. For my play thing and work transport I have a DT125R 90MY. I have been reading this forum for about a month now whilst I have been rebuilding my DT125R, but this is the first time I …

Hi everyone! I just made a deal with one of my buddies to buy his '80 xs400. I'm new to the biking world, and the bike needs to some cosmetic work, but I can honestly say I had goosebumps when I first sat on it. I do need to start off with a question though. There is a good amount of rust on the bike. From what I read on the web, blue-job seems to do a number cleaning anything off chrome and stainless steel (with the pads & a circular sander). I just wanted to see what other had done to clean up their bikes. I want to make this bike look spectacular.

  14. Started by Ricardo,

Hi all. I'm Ric. I purchased a '97 Thundercat yesterday and I am ridiculously happy. The weather yesterday was somewhat appropriate considering the bikes model lol. Unfortunately I didn't get to ride her on the roads, after stupidly failing my mod2, but I wanted the bike bad enough. So till I re-test I'll get some time to tinker and ensure she's just the way I want her. There are a few things to take care of just like on any used bike. Tyres as they look slightly squared off. Alarm fob's need replacing - but the alarm itself is hunky dory. I also want to get the oil and filter changed. And sort the breaks - The reservoir has been filled past max level, and I feel…

Good evening, and "Hello" from another new member. I'd thought I'd take a couple of minutes to introduce myself. My Nickname on here is GillsBoy. I've been a keen biker since 1977 and have had various makes and models, but have always favoured Yamahas since my very first FS1E. I sold my last bike - an FZR1000 Exup back in 1988 to raise funds for a house move. I've been desperate for another bike ever since, but there have always been other priorities (like a mortgage!!). Anyway, job, mortgage and children now permitting, I'm finally back on two wheels. And, just like London buses, with not one bike, but two! I bought a red 2002 YZF-R6 back in March. It has …

Not really sure what else to say, so before I start rambling , I'll just say my hello's and look forward to getting to know you all. cheers A
