Hello I'm based in the Winchester/Southampton area. New to the county and was wondering if there was any other riders out there or if anyone knows of any meets in the area? Or failing that, some nice routes or destinations to end up at!

Sunday the 6th october is the last open day of the Craven Motorcycle Museum, it is east of York on Stockton Lane, YO329UE, opening times are 10am to 4pm, it only opens on certain weekends through the year, check out the Craven Museum website, they have over 270 motorcycles to view and all for a 4 quid entrance fee which goes to charity.

Its a new show on Sunday 15th of September, being co-ordinated by Cheesy of the Taunton & Bridgewater section of the VJMC Free camping for exhibitors on the Saturday night Tickets for the public will include entrance to the Haynes Museum, so will be loads to see This will be the first year of the show, so details are not set; albeit agreed in principle with the VJMC and Haynes Cheesy is hoping that the price will be lower, at £10.00, than the normal price to enter Haynes (which next year will be £11.95, so a good saving plus you …

I'm organising a little trip out for like minded people an partners pillion for a ride out to Kent coast from bluebell hill garage down side. Destination voted on day weather permitting. I have an xj6 white come along for an easy ride on A roads all abilities catered for no pressure . Time for lunch an ride back. Smiffy

9th-10th August Yorkshire Rock & Bike Show 2013 One of the most popular and well attended events on the Squires calendar. A mix of bikes and bands spread over 2 days (Fri & Sat). This is a entrance fee event. Tickets available from the cafe. for who is interesed

Spectator entry is £6.00 for adults and £1.00 for under 16's which includes a programme. Gates open at 9.30am for practice and racing from about 1pm. If you want to enter the VJMC motorcycle show you can enter in advance or on the day before 10am. Entry to show your machine is free however there is an entry fee to the event which is £6.00. Some of you in the North West may be interested in this. Every year the local rugby club organise a festival which is very well organised and appears to get better each year. This year, following our loss of the Thundersprint, they have added a motorcycle show to the Bank Holiday weekend attractions. They were going to have a three lap cavalcade of the town, but apparently got a letter claiming intellectual property rights on this and have had to cancel it. Thisevent is organised by the Sheffield council, it is on The Moor in the centre of Sheffield, there will be classic bikes of all ages, plus entertainment, also something for the kids to do so bring them along too !! It starts at 11.30am and runs to 4pm. See you there I hope.

HOGHTON TOWER SPRINT is on today, unfortunately I'm air rifle shooting with cubs @Bowley. should be some great machines there., Last year there were Vincents, rotary Nortons, RD250 (very fast and loud)
