Events, Rideouts & Trackdays

Hey all, having been a keen rider for 3 years now I am looking to do my first track day, I have my 2 piece leathers now and I am just looking at which track to go to. I currently have an FZ6 so it should be great fun on a track, anyone have some experience of taking one on the track? Track wise I am looking at Castlecombe or Silverstone, silverstone looks more attractive with better facilities, better track with more space, not to mention for the same price you get more track time. thought a rideout to this event is worth a mention, don't even know if I can make it myself yet as its on a Thursday, but would love to be there and will do my best to arrange my work schedule around it. haven't got any details at moment of event or time but I'm sure foamy will fill in the blanks could be a fantastic day out for a good cause, see thread run foamy run for details and how to donate I know we have YOC members in and around the Bristol area, it would be great to meet up and support foamy on his run. come on guys & guy'ses support foamy's run

So I've got a last-minute reprieve from duties, so can get bit of a ride out in this great weather on my new bike I need some suggestions of where to head for - I'm based in Woking, Surrey, so anywhere an hour or two out with either a nice route and/or a nice destination would be great!

Anybody going to the BMAD bike festival that's on at Paignton this weekend? Starts tonight (Friday 3rd May) and finishes on Monday, there's usually a big turnout of bikes, with plenty of stuff going on till late. http://www.bmad.co.uk/festival.html

yay, I got a VIP ticket for free as Mike works for Tyco who sponsor GM and Josh Brookes (GM is prepping for IOM so won't be there) going down Monday as working Sunday, free food etc and should be a good day out

Heya peeps i am now settling in at my new base in Wolverhampton, bringing the blade up next weekend! also parking the Kia up as it has developed a problem with the LPG system, and im not running the f*cker on petrol, too expensive! any rideouts/meets up near me? anywhere within a 70 mile radius would be ideal

Just to mention that the yorkhill hospital ( Glasgow )egg run is on this sunday 31st was a good turnout last year so could be even better this year, ( lots of vids on u tube ) 11 o`clock at hospital staff car park.I will be there again as it is a good cause and it is " supposed " to be dry !!.

Hi a mate and I are looking to set up a classic Jap bike meet in the Solihull area on a Wednesday about 7pm just got to have a word with the pub owner to see if its OK. Its looking to be starting around March time depending on the weather if riding. Everyone is invited classic or not. I'll keep you posted.
