Hi everyone, This might be a delicate question, since this is the Yamaha realm, but any reply to this question would be highly appreciated. I currently still live in the States and plan to move back to Austria by summer. (Can't wait to be in Europe again...) Since I've been riding a ZRX over the last years (as you probably know, no other naked muscles are available here), there's no question that I'll stay in this class of bikes. I can't wait to upgrade once I'm back home! I've been researching online like a madman, and it's absolutely clear that it'll only be a xjr or a gsx. They seem equaly awesome, but both also have a downside... The gsx is out of pro…

I have had a 82 Yamaha Maxim XJ55O for about 15 years. It has 12,700 miles on it and it still runs great. I live in South Dakota so I am just now able to start riding this year. I am looking at replacing the rear tire (it's getting a little dry and cracked. I have the Dunlop Gold K127 130/90/16 and I plan to replace it with the Kenda K657 Sport Challenger 110/90H-18 from Tires Unlimited (http://tiresunlimited.com/default.htm). I am curious if anyone has an opinion about switching to this other tire size. How will it affect the ride? I am also looking at replacing the original dual exhaust with a 4 in 1 from Old Bike Barn (http://www.oldbikebarn.com/part.php?i…

Hi all, Does anyone have a recommendation/comments when it comes to getting those extra or ultra bright light bulbs? I am looking at replacing the R1 bulbs with some Piaa bulbs, I know they are not cheap but if I get twice the dazzle it might make people see me , I have not seen any other bulbs that offer twice the light output for the same current. Thanks

Got a good start this morning…..was throwing a leg over the Beast right @ 4:20am. Nice & clear weatherwise…..ended up making good time as traffic was just shy of Non-existant. Here’s a nice view of Mt. Hood from the East side just @ the edge of the Warm Springs Indian Rez….. Musta got my wires crossed with my friend…..as he wasn’t home when I got there. I figured he was either @ work or up Skiing (lucky Bastid) , as the weather woulda been perfect for a day of Spring Skiing. So, I had to check out the view from the top of 4,000ft. Pilot Butte while I was here…… I then decided to set off for the Tumalo Reservoir area myself….. & Wha…

Hi All Well now i have done it, after riding for years "when i was a lad" (but never passing my bike test (i know im a kn*) and being turned to the dark side by them 4 wheeled things, i have now bought a XV125 Virago. Been thinking about bikes for ages now but always resisted as i know i will be hooked on them again (I had an 80cc sports bike and did 23000 miles in under a year, mad or what) What finally did it was sitting in the queues at the blackwall tunnel for the past 6 weeks and watching with envy as the bikes slip past (well they do by me coz i get out the way) it was getting to be 3 hours to get to work and 2 to get home (only 40 miles) Pick it up…
