I was coming back from a wicked night at the Ace last weekend i blew my engine(bottom ends) (1998 R, YZF600 Thundercat), luckly i was on the hangerlane roundabout and it didn't happen on the motorway, but i'm still well upset as its the begging of FAB weather and me and my baby cant go out and enjoy it. I've looked everywere but cant seem to find a thundercat engine anywere and i was hoping you guys could help. My baby had done 26k miles and i'm looking for an engine of the same mileage or less, any doc's that prove mileage whould be fab, i'm looking to spend about 350-450 quid for engine. Guys, I was just image google'ing FZ1 and I saw the bike as a naked bike, it looks kinda like a bmw k1200r. Whats with this? Every Dealer has the bike with the body kit which is nothing like this bike, I cant find this bike anywhere. They are named the same FZ1 Can someone explain this to me, Im not too familiar with yamaha's yet.

I have had a 82 Yamaha Maxim XJ55O for about 15 years. It has 12,700 miles on it and it still runs great. I live in South Dakota so I am just now able to start riding this year. I am looking at replacing the rear tire (it's getting a little dry and cracked. I have the Dunlop Gold K127 130/90/16 and I plan to replace it with the Kenda K657 Sport Challenger 110/90H-18 from Tires Unlimited (http://tiresunlimited.com/default.htm). I am curious if anyone has an opinion about switching to this other tire size. How will it affect the ride? hi all does anybody know what shock i can fit to my bike ie other makes and models I have jest refurbed the forks only to realise how bad the rear shock is when i went for my first ride at the moment a cant find anything under £250 so thought i may go second hand

I've got a 2000 w plate R1 and am sure the clutch is on its way out, any idea's what to change in its place, I.E. tupe of plates and any body know of a good mechanic in surrey ?
