Well I decided my time would be better spent working on the house. Then I decided a holiday is for having a holiday so at 8pm monday night I headed south. I now find myself in Benidorm where I am going to relax for a few days. Any pointers for the route back up would be handy. I ended up using a couple of tolls in spain as I pretty much did from home (Burton On trent) to Mataro, near Barcelona with only stopping for the tunnel and to refuel. Going to take it easier on the way back with a couple of nights in France but heading for St Malo as I have the boat booked to see a friend in Jersey. Thanks. Take it easy all.

Hi everyone, Just registered... I'm interested in buying a new Fazer S2. Just wanted to get some info and opinions from owners of Fazers. I ride a Suzuki 2005 SV650S with fairing lowers and double bubble screen at the moment. I like the torque it produces and the light weight. It handles well and is narrow. The problem is the riding position with clip-ons is killing my back. Right between the shoulder blades (I have a herniated disc there anyway). Suzukis aren't known for build quality either, though it's garaged and well maintained, so it's mint. I want a bike with some wind protection and a relaxed riding position. The only one that looks right for me is the Fazer at…

the Starter on my 1980 SR250G is so slow, I never know if it is going to start. Even with a new and charged battery it is a crap shoot if it is going to start. I've pulled the starter, lubed it, checked the brushes & comutator. Once running it is a fun bike for just putting around. Is this slowness normal? A little more on the bike. It sat outside for around 7 years on a friends back porch and he just gave it to me. The forks are pitted and probably going to need replacing as they'll take out the seals real fast Any info would be appreciated.

well i bought a spotless 1998 XJ 600S Diversion from a man in the middleands. However, when his mate was delivering it he crashed it at low speed on a diesel patch. now the fairing is completely ruined with BIG cracks and scratches. . i am now looking for a replacement fairing and have come across a few earlier model fairings going second hand for good prices. i am wondering whether or not these will fit my bike? the fairing i am looking at buying is from a 1994 model whereas mine is a 1998. Can anyone help me? many thanks, Mark

Hi Everyone, I fitted an Ivan's FCE (fuel cut eliminator) to my FZ1 this weekend and the difference is staggering! Absolutely no throttle snatch at any revs / throttle combination. It has totally transformed the bike, so smooth! it was £150 all together from SG Motorsport who are really helpful and it's not too difficult to fit if you have some mechanical / electrical knowledge. Can't recommend it enough.

I have in my back garden a VFR400 which I intend to rebuild at some point. It has be sat under tarpaulin for the last six month and when I wandered passed it yesterday I notice the cover had blown off. I lent over in and gave the throttle a pull, seized solid - bugger I thought! I took the tank off to find that the carbs were under water (god knows how) starting to panic I removed the carbs to find the inlet tracts full of water - SHIT!!!! I took the plugs out, now being a V4 I had to take the rad off to get the front 2 out. The back 2 point at the seat and without a triple jointed hand you cannot get them out. So I left them loose, but undone in the plug holes. At …

Hi all, It has been bugging me in the UK it is illegal to have a race can fitted to a bike. What is the difference between a race can and a road can and what makes a race can illegal?? I know this seems a simple question but didnt know if it was just the noise factor or something more?

I want to know what everyone thinks if this is worth buying or not. I have found a 2001 R1 (today is 5/11/07) that has 2 miles on it and is being sold as a "New" bike. I have seen this bike up close and basically it is "forgotten stock" from a dealer. Here is the dilemma; Retail on a 01 R1 from Kelly Blue Book is $6300.00 in excellent condition. The dealer wants $8000.00 for the bike and they won't budge. is this bike worth 8k even though it is an 01 with 2 miles on it?

Hi Everyone! I've just joined the club and have a couple of questions and would be grateful for your comments. I am about to buy a XJR 1300, hopefully the SP model in the livery last available in 2000. It will have to be the blue one! I am waiting for the right bike to turn up on ebay but am not really sure of the value of that model of XJR. If anyone could enlighten me I would be grateful - what should I be prepared to pay for an A1 example?. Also, I'm going for the XJR 1300 because it is the very epitome of my idea of a retro bike - the only sort of bikes I have ridden past and present. I am, of course, 'born again'. Any other interesting/useful info o…
