I have in my back garden a VFR400 which I intend to rebuild at some point. It has be sat under tarpaulin for the last six month and when I wandered passed it yesterday I notice the cover had blown off. I lent over in and gave the throttle a pull, seized solid - bugger I thought! I took the tank off to find that the carbs were under water (god knows how) starting to panic I removed the carbs to find the inlet tracts full of water - SHIT!!!! I took the plugs out, now being a V4 I had to take the rad off to get the front 2 out. The back 2 point at the seat and without a triple jointed hand you cannot get them out. Hi I am Johann in Iceland. I jut bought an XS 400 SECA and would like to know if there are stores or othger recources to find parts new or used even an engine for this bike. It is working but sounds worn and has not been taken care of for a long time, painted with spray cans and such. I would like to restore this hoorse from the past to its former glory if possible. Hi all, It has been bugging me in the UK it is illegal to have a race can fitted to a bike. What is the difference between a race can and a road can and what makes a race can illegal?? I know this seems a simple question but didnt know if it was just the noise factor or something more?

Hi, everyone I'm a former MT-01 owner just bought '07 XJR-1300 I got my hand broken so haven't driven it much but there is one thing i like to change on this bike and that is the exhaust, want to have two, one on each side, haven't seen it for 2007, or don't know if exhaust for other models fit '07 model. any informations would be great

I want to know what everyone thinks if this is worth buying or not. I have found a 2001 R1 (today is 5/11/07) that has 2 miles on it and is being sold as a "New" bike. I have seen this bike up close and basically it is "forgotten stock" from a dealer. Here is the dilemma; Retail on a 01 R1 from Kelly Blue Book is $6300.00 in excellent condition. The dealer wants $8000.00 for the bike and they won't budge. is this bike worth 8k even though it is an 01 with 2 miles on it?

Hi Everyone! I've just joined the club and have a couple of questions and would be grateful for your comments. I am about to buy a XJR 1300, hopefully the SP model in the livery last available in 2000. It will have to be the blue one! I am waiting for the right bike to turn up on ebay but am not really sure of the value of that model of XJR. If anyone could enlighten me I would be grateful - what should I be prepared to pay for an A1 example?. Also, I'm going for the XJR 1300 because it is the very epitome of my idea of a retro bike - the only sort of bikes I have ridden past and present. I am, of course, 'born again'. Hi all New to this biking buisness but allways wanted to to do it. I have just got myself a Yamamha XJ650 (so I have been told) It is a non runner having been kept outside for two years. So it is a little restoration project for me. Some way to learn about bikes So I apolagise now if i ask to many questions. Hi Can any one help? I am new to bikes. I have a 1998 Fazer 600. It has run fine until now. Whilst driving home my Indicators, Brake light and Instrument panel packed up. My Speedometer and Tachometer have also given up. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Can any one point me in the right direction? Thanks bill

Picked up my new Fazer 600 S2 today. I had them fit a touring screen and Scottoiler dual injection before I picked it up. It runs very smoothly and the seating position is higher and more upright than the SV650S I had, which is just what I wanted. Lovely machine. Got home, waxed it, sprayed GT85 on all the metal bits, lowered the levers and took some free play out of the clutch and throttle.
