Hi Everyone Went out on my new bike for the first time on Sunday morning, i went for a leisurely 1 hr ride down some nice wide country roads and through a few little villages. Brilliant start to the day. As for the bike it's amazing, i have to say though that i don't think i took it above 8000rpm, it's my first bike so i'm not going to go silly, i've got a hell of a lot of riding to do before i'm evening compatent but i'll just take it easy to start, anyway here's a few pictures.

  3. Hi everyone! I am new on this forum, so will introduce myself: My name is Ventzi. Last year I bought 2 R6's (from a mate that did some racing) - A road bike, and a complete bike that needed alot of putting together (He had been taking bits from it as spares for his track bike) Anyway - Both are the early carb models - the road bike being the updated model with twin rear lights, and project bike being a 1999 early model. I loved the bike, and did alot of miles in a few miles - and quite comfortably did a bit of touring here and there - once even with the girlfriend and a set of soft panniers on the back! Anyway - I sold that bike, and now need another one to do…

Hi All, I have a 1988 xv250. According to the manual the bike should be positioned "straight up" when checking the oil. Is this true or should it be on the sidestand? Thanks.

HI - new to the forum, but owned a Bulldog for some time now. I really like it, and its a bit different to most other bikes you see around. Was completely happy until ......... turned on the ignition, and no comforting warning lights, and no speedo test. On top, no clock, trip or odo. Mechanic thinks my speedo unit is dead - anyone had similar problems, before I fork out on a new one? Thanks, and looking forward to Donington!!!

Hi all - just put deposit down on new FZ1-S Fazer in red, picking it up next week. Should maybe have asked before putting my money down, any advice for a new FZ1-S owner? Many of you in East Sussex - I'm interested in meeting up with folk for rides. Back to bikes after a long break so not looking for anything too ambitious. Look forward to hooking up with some of you soon.

Wonder if any of you have experienced the following? Bought an 03 R6 in march and it was nothing but trouble. In the end i changed it in at the palce i bought it for an 04 R6 in Ltd Edition kenny Roberts yellow, it had 1600 miles on the clock and is lovely. Only had chance to take it out a couple of times and second time was from Southend to St Albans and back. On the way there, banging down teh A127 and suddenl the revs start dropping and it's not responding to throttle input at all. As I slow down I drop it a gear and the revs pick up, then die again, dorp another gear they pick up briefly.. you get teh picture. In the end all I can do is pull in on right hand s…

Hi all, Just got me a double bubble iridium screen and wondered what the stance is with the law and the tint of the bike screen. I know the visors for helmets are not legal but what about the screens on the bike? I think they are legal since you don't see through the screen @ legal speeds

Hello all, I am new here so lets see if you can help me. I have a 1978 xs400-2e, It was running rough and I rebuilt the carbs and cleaned averything good. It still ran rough. I took off the left plug and the bike stalled, I took off the right plug and it ran with very little difference. I took out the plug and started the bike and the spark is great,( I still see the blue dot in my eyes). The last thing I checked was the mixture screws. They had plastic caps to avoid anyone addjusting them, bot the strange thing is the the right carb screw had no tip on it. it was blunt. I looked in the carb and the tip broke off in the port. I can get it out, but I cant find a listin…

Michelin to Recall Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 Front Motorcycle Tyres 15/06/07 (STOKE-ON-TRENT – 15 June 2007) – Michelin has launched a campaign to recall its Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 front motorcycle tyres with “Made in France” markings. An examination of these tyres showed a possible defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity. No cases of pressure loss have been reported and no accidents have occurred. Because customer safety is its primary concern, Michelin has decided as a precaution to replace certain 120/70 ZR 17 Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Michelin Pilot Power fron…
